Abstract:
  Objective   To understand the current status of human resource of county CDCs in middle and western regions of China.   Methods   The individual in-depth interiview, FGD and structured questionnaire methods were employed to survey the human resource of 116 CDCs.   Results   Professionals of public health were insufficient while non-professionals were overstaffed, especially in poor counties identified by the central government.The performance of them was hard to meet the basic functions of CDC.   Conclusion   It is necessary that governments pay attention to streng then the functions of CDC; set up the rules and regulations of professional admittance; train staffs properly and assign the non-professionals reasonably.

Abstract:
  Objective   To understan the working state of the finance for the new rural medical cooperation, and to extend the covering ratio of this new medical cooperation form in the practie of medical cooperation, and to supply the judging evidences for the collection, the efficiency for the rural cooperation medical finance, and reasonable use of te finance.   Methods   The data on the finance for the new medical evience in Tongshang Counry from January, 2004-July, 2005 were collected and analyzed using the software of SPSS11.5.Statistiscal description, analysis of variance, time series analysis were of SPSS 11.5.Statisiscal description, analysis of variance, time series analysis were adopted.   Results   In the population that attended to the new medical cooperation, 99% persons were the outpatients, and 1% of those were inpat ients.However, as to the aspect of compensating finance, 47% was used for the compensation of outpatients, and 53% was for that of the clinic patients.   Conclusion   As a low-level, wide system for aintaining health, the new medical cooperation is still fragile, when the expensive treating fee and high drug price are faced.It will become more and more necessary to increase the attending rate in the rural regions and the gover mentcs financial support with the development of economics and the promotion of the income of the rural residents.

Abstract:
  Objective   To analysis the existing problems and current situation of the prescription of ou-tpatients in township hospitals and village clinice affter carry ing out CMS, then offer advices for the rational medication in order to further standard behavior of doctors at tow nship and village level to ensure smooth development of new-type rural cooperative medical system.   Methods   Descriptive statistics analysis and biolo gical staistics analysis were used.   Results   In the township hospitals and village clinics, the percent of the prescription that including 3~6 drugs was 79.8% and 76.9%, the percent of the prescriptions including antibiotics and hormone in the vilage clinics was higher than the to wnship hospitals(the percent of the prescriptions including antibiotics and hormone in the village clinics was 81% and 32.5% respectively, and the percent in the to wnship hospitals was 77.3% and 20.2% respectively).The percent of the prescriptions that including 3~6 drugs in those patients who participant in CMS was higher than those patients who never participate, the medicine fees and total treatment fees in CMS was higher than that of non-CMS.   Conclusion   There are unreasonable and unsafe phenomenon in prescription at two level health institution to some extent.The possible reasons were analyzed and some mesures were adopted for standardization of the service behavior; the channel of purchasing medicines; the mechanism of rural doctors reward; medicine applicat ion status.

Abstract:
  Objective   To know the village2level health service of country in Ningxia.   Methods   A questionnaire survey was carried out among 29 village clinical stations in Huinong district of Shizuishan city, Ningxia, by using self-designing questionnaire.   Results   Every village had averagely 0192 village clinical stations; the house of clinical station was barely furnished with small size; the average area of treatmenthouse was 56.55 m2, in which medical facilities were simple and crude.The education level of cuntry doctors was low with no medical training in the latest decade.92.3% village clinical stations belonged to individuals was selling medicines with no medical inspect to ensue quality.The associate qualification of country doctors was awarded with no strict standard and procedure.   Conclusion   Medical knowledge and skills of country doctors are poor; Service function of village clinical stations(most private clinics)is low; country doctors cannot meet the needs of farmer's health service.

Abstract:
  Objective   To learn the knowledge and attitude of doctors or nurses on feasible techniques of the traditional Chinese medicine.   Methods   108 doctors or nurses working in the grounding hospitals were interviewed personally using the typical sampling method.   Results   92.4% of the medical staffs working in the g rounding hospitals lacked correct cognition to feasible techniques.There was significant difference in the knowledge and att itude among people with different diploma degrees(χ2=6.740, P=0.034), different graduating schools(χ2=7.241, P=0.027)and majors(χ2=6.530, P=0.038).64.8% of the interviewees kept active attitude to popularize feasible techniques.The main diseases adapt to feasible techniques were cerebro-vascular disease, car dio-vascular disease and digestive system disease.   Conclusion   It is the keypoint of popularizing the feasible techniques to strengthen the system education of the traditional Chinese medicine theory to doctors in the country and establish practicable discipline program.
Analysis on drug application in village health posts in poor rural area of western China

Abstract:
  Objective   To learn the status of drug application in village health posts in thirty-eight poverty areas of western china.   Methods   Five townships were sampled randomly from each county, three villages from each county.In each village health post a survey on sixty prescriptions was conducted.   Results   The range category of western medicines in each province was 83-202;The proportion of medicine prescribed from the Essential Medicines List in Innore mongolia, Guangxi, Jiangxi were upper, that's 95.24%, 87.71% and 80.73%, and that in Ningxia was 34.73%, Qinghai was 53.95%;The proportion of the Essential Medicines List for traditional Chinese medicine in Sichuan and Chongqing were 41.45% and 51.77%;The application rates of anti-infection drugs was the highest of all; A verage number of medicines prescribed perpatient encounter was 2.52;The rate of three kinds of drugs using together was 25.75%;The use rate of mainline was 3.50%.   Conclusion   In order to deal with these problems, some suggestions should be made to consolidate and perfect village health posts'function of health care.

Abstract:
  Objective   To explore the prevalence and influence factors of self-reported tobacco sales to minors.   Methods   With self-administered questionnaires, a cross-sectional survey was conducted among 286 tobacco retailers to understand the prevalence of sales to minor.And the significant influence factors associated with tobacco sales to minors were examined.   Results   A total of 268 questionnaires were used in final analysis.Of the tobacco retailers, 167(62.3%)reported the stores in which they worked held the allowance certificate for tobacco sale and 181(67.5%)said that the warning signs of 'No selling tobacco to minors' were placed in their stores.And 116(43.3%)retailers had ever asked or judged purchasers'ages and 146 (53.4%)retailers would sell tobacco to minors.The result of multivariable analysis showed that three factors were significantly associated with selling tobacco to minors.Compared with special shops for selling tobacco and big supermarkets, small supermarkets were more likely to sell tobacco to minors(OR=3.60), as well as groceries(OR=2.52).Furthermore, the retailers who asked or judged the ages of purchasers had less possibility to sell tobacco to minors(OR=0.22), so did the retailers with high scores of attitudes toward the responsibility of tobacco control in adolescents(OR=0.85).Without consideration of their types, the stores with signs of'No selling cigarettes to minors' were less likely to sell.   Conclusion   The prevalence of tobacco sales to minors is substantially high, especially in the small supermarkets and groceries.Regulations related to punishing tobacco sales to minor should be made up and enforced strictly.Necessary law education must be offered to tobacco retail2 ers immediately.

Abstract:
  Objective   To investigate the moderators and mediators of cigarette use among adolescent smokers.   Methods   1 168 students were recruited with randomly stratified sampling from general high school and vocational high schools in three urban areas of Wuhan city.1 077 of them completed paper-and-pencil questionnaires.   Results   10.3 percent of subjects reported smoking in the past 30 days and the average amount in 30 days was 91.3 cigarettes.With path analysis, the results showed that alcohol drinking, social norm of smoking, initial age of smoking and number of smoking friends were directly related with current smoking amounts, other risk factors were the mediators with the current smoking.   Conclusion   It indicates that the smoking reduction intervention among adolescents should focus on adolescent drinking, peer smoking, social norms of smoking, especially on the boys and those with hyperactivity.

Abstract:
  Objective   To evaluate the effectiveness of school intervention activities about tobacco control, ana to provide scientific evidence forexplor ing strategies and activities on school tobacco control.   Methods   One-year intervention activities were developed and conducted in 15 primary and middle school in six cities in 2003.The baseline survey and follow-up survey on knowledge, attitude and behavior about tobacco and health were conducted in students and school staffs in the inter vention and the control schools.   Results   The rates of knowledge and correct attitude about tobacco and health of students and school staffs in the intervention schools were greatly improved.The rate of students.attempt smoking went down, especially among the intervention middle school students, it went down 10.9% less than 2.28% of the control middle school students.The rate of current smoking of school staffs decreased significantly, especially male staffs and those less than 35 years old.   Conclusion   The school intervention activit ies on tobacco control had positive effectiveness on the change of students and school staffs.knowledge, attitude and behavior about tobacco and health.It provided a preferably template for future school tobacco control.

Abstract:
  Objective   To explore the relations between middle school students.abuse behavior of alcohol and cigarette sel-frespect, anxiety and depression.   Methods   To adopt 1B2 match method and SAS, SES, CES-D was questioners to investigate 655 middle students that number of smo king alcohol was more than 1/w and 1 168 middle students that number of drinking alcohol was more than 3t/m, and 186 students, which smoked and drunk, and their case, in the past three months.   Results   The scores of student groups with abuse of alcohol/cigarette on SES, SAS and CES-D was obviously higher than that of cases; as for the student groups with abuse of both alcohol and cigarette, except for the above situation, their invaluable sensation was 8.86±2.22, lacking of normal feeling 5.00±2.20, depression mood 4.40±2.21, body state 1.67±1.12.Correspondingly, that of case was 8.37±2.11, 4.54±2.11, 3.00±2.11 and 1.34±1.08, receptively.It was obvious that the former was higher than the latter(P < 0.05).   Conclusion   The level of self-respect of adolescents with abuse of both alcohol and cigarette is lower and their anxiety, depression and mood are higher than those of case.The intervention of adolescents.material abuse of both alcohol and cigarette is lower and their anxiety, depression and mood are higher than those of case.The interv ention of ado lescents.material abuse should start with psy chological health.

Abstract:
  Objective   To explore the relationship between the vertical transmission and congenital and perinatal infection of human cytomegalovirus(HCMV)and the effects of HCMV infection on early development of infants.   Methods   Serum HCMV-IgM and HCMV-DNA were detected in 74 infants born to HCMV actively infected pregnant women and 50 infants born to HCMV inactively infected pregnant women by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)and polymerase reaction(PCR).HCMV infected infants were followed up regularly to 6 months old.   Results   The incidence of congenital and perinatal infection in theinfants born to HCMV actively infected pregnant women(36.49% and 45.95%, respectively)were significantly higher than that of the inactively-infected(P < 0.005).Of the infants born to HCMV actively infected pregnant women, the incidence of symptomatic infection, nerve system abnormities, congenital malformations and generalized infection of congenital infected infants was significantly higher than that of the perinatal infected(P < 0.05).The recovery of liver function, the darkening of HCMV HCMV-IgM and/or HCMV-DNA and the prognosis of short term follow-up in the congenital infected group were worse than those in the perinatal infected group(P < 0.05).   Conclusion   HCMV active infection during pregnancy is significantly correlated with congenital and perinatal infection1HCMV congenital infected infants have more serious symptoms, worse prognosis and higher mortality than perinatal infected ones.Supervision about HCMV active infection during pregnancy should be strengthened in order to prevent and intercept the congenital infection in time.
Study on vertical transmission with dengue virus in Aedes albopietus

Abstract:
  Objective   To study vertical transmission capability of dengue virus type 1-4(DEN 1-4)through three geographic strains Aedes albopictus in Guizhou province.   Methods   Three geographic strains of Aedes albopictus in Guizhou Province were infected orally with DEN1-4, respectively.Parental and F1-F3 generation mosquitoes were gathered.Dengue virus was isolated with C6/36;The viral antigen was detected by indirect immunofluore sences assay(IFA).The total RNA was obtained, NS1 gene of DEN was detected by RT-PCR.   Results   Three Guizhou geographic mosquitoes of Aedes albopictus could be infected orally with DEN1-4;Both Xingyi and Hainan geographic mosquitoes had the capbility of vertical transmission DEN-1 and DEN-4 to F3 generation and DEN-3 to F2 generation as well, Xingyi geographic mosquitoes were detected vertical transmission DEN-2 to F3 generation; Guiyang geographic mosquitoes could vertically transmit DEN -1 to F3 generation, DEN-2, DEN-3 and DEN-4 to F2 generation; Transmitted DEN-1 to F2 generation, DEN-4 to F3 generation, transmitted DEN-2 and DEN-3 to progeny were not be detected by Bijie mosquitoes.   Conclusion   Three geographic strains Aedes albopictus in Guizhou were susceptible to dengue virus type 1-4;Guiyang, Bijie and Xingyi geographic mosquitoes of Aedes Aalbopictus could vertical transmit DEN, and theirefficiency were various.The eggs of filial mosquitoes could live through the winter at dry, room temperature.

Abstract:
  Objective   To study the relationship between the expression of HBVx-DNA in serum and the level of membrane interleukin-2 receptor(mIL-2R)on surface of peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC)of the patients with chronic hepatitis B and pr imary hepatoma.   Methods   The HBVx-DNA in serum and the level of mIL-2R before and after inducement of PHA were detected by PCR and biotin-streptav idin(BSA), respectively.   Results   The total positive rates of HBVx-DNA in serum of the patients with chronic hepatitis B and primary hepatoma were 11.9%(16/135), 40.9%(9/22), respectively.There was high significantly difference in two groups(P < 0.01).The positive rates of HBVx-DNA in serum of the patients with chronic hepatitis(light), chronic hepatitis(moderate), chronic hepatitis(severe), cirrhosis were 0%, 20.8%(5/24), 17.9%(5/28), 17.1%(6/35), respectively.There was high significantly difference among these groups (P < 0.01).The total positive rates of HBVx-DNA in serum of group with HBeAg(+)was 2014%(21/103).There was higher significantly difference in group with HBeAg(+)than that in group with HBeAg(-)(P < 0.05).The levels of mIL -2R before and after inducement of PHA on surface of PBMC of group with HBV x-DNA(+)and HBVx-DNA(-) were(2.53±1.08)%, (26.47±4.26)%and(3.34±1.23)%, (29.25±4.71)%, respectively.There was higher significantly difference in the two groups(P < 0.01).The results of liver biopsy showed that the highest level of HBVx-DNA in tissue of hepatoma.   Conclusion   HBVx-DNA can be existent in the patients with chronic hepatitis B and is more common in chronic hepatitis B(moderate, severe)and cirrhosis.The positive rate of HBVx-DNA in serum of the patients with primary hepatoma was 50%(3/6)and was hig her than that of patients with chronic hepatitis B(moderate, severe)and cirr hosis.The main reason of primary hepatoma is associated with HBVx-DNA integr ated with chromosome of host cells.The other important reason is that the lowactive T cells is more common in peripheral blood of the patients with HBVx-DNA(+).It is high significant to detect the level of HBVx-DNA in serum and PBMC forearly discovery and assistant diagnosis of primary hepatoma.

Abstract:
  Objective   To development and standardization of Adults Innovative Diatheses Scale.   Methods   1, 300 adults were administered by Chinese Adults Innovative Diatheses Scale.   Results   The results showed that: (1)Chinese Adults Innovative Diatheses Scale had been proved of hig h reliability and validity.(2)There were significant differences of sex, age and education onthe scores of whole scale and some subscales.(3)The norms of whole, sex, age and education on Chinese Adults Innovative Diatheses Scale were built.   Conclusion   Adults Innovative Diatheses Scale is applicable.

Abstract:
  Objective   To investigate the association of LRP5 gene Q89R, A1330V and VDR gene Fok' polymorphism with bone mineral density(BMD)in Harbin Men.   Methods   132 unrelated healthy men of Han nationality, aged 20~55 from Harbin, were selected.Dietary calcium intakes, serum biochemistry, serum hormones, bo ne mineral density were measured by dual energy X-ray, densitometry were assessed in all subjects.The polymorphisms of LRP5 gene and VDR gene were determined using PCR-RFLP.   Results   It failed to find that the values of serum biochemistry and serum hormones were different statistically among genotypes.There was a significant association between Q89R and adjusted bone mineral density (BMD)at Femoral neck(NECK)(P=0.047), and a marginal association was observed at Wardcs triangle(WARD)(P= 0.073)and trochanter(TROCH)(P=0.081).Neither Fok' nor A1330V genotypes was significant association with BMD after adjusting other factors at any skeleton sites.There were not interactions for BMD among three genotypes.   Conclusion   LRP5 gene Q89R poly morphism influence on BMD at NECK in Harbin men.

Abstract:
  Objective   To analyze the relationship between nutrition, related factors and brain tumors.   Methods   Pared case-control study was used to calculate the consumption of nutrition and N-nitrosamine, and to analyze the risk of factors, multiple factors and interaction.   Results   In factors analysis, smo king was related to brain tumors in men only(OR=2.51, 95%CI: 1.070~5.873).Protein, fat, carbohydrate, cholesterol, fiber and carotene are the protective factors in two kinds of tumor.N-nitrosamine was the risk factor to brain tumor.With increasing levels of consumption of N-nitrosamine, the Odds Ratioincreased.For the results of multiple logistic regr ession, cholesterol, smoke, N-nitrosamine and interaction between carotene and N-nitrosamine were in to models.With carotene-stratified, there was a significant relationship between N-nitrosamine and brain tumors with carotene only at the lowest level of consumption of carotene.   Conclusion   Protein, fat, carbohy drate, cholesterol, fiber and caro tene are the protective factors in two kinds of tumor, but cholesterol and carotene has more protective.N-nitrosamine is a risk factor, the risk increasing with itcs intake incr eased.Carotene may be has the function to reduce the risk of N-nitrosamine to brain tumor.

Abstract:
  Objective   To detect the intestinal pathogenic bacteria quickly and accurately.   Methods   To detect and identify common intestinal pathogenic bacteria target genes with prepared DNA microarray.   Results   16 strains of bacteria in pure culture belong to 8 genera(salmonella, shigella, escherichia coli, vibrio cholera, vibrioparahaemolyticus, campylobacter jejuni, yersinia enterocolitica, and listeria)were successfully discriminated under comparatively same condition and a series of specific hybridiztion maps corresponding to each kinds of bacteria are obtained.   Conclusion   Common intestinal pathogenic bacteria can be detected and identified by DNA microarray.It provides a more efficient method for intestinal pathogenic bacteria detections.

  Objective   To isolate, identify and purify the allergens from shrimp(Metapenaeus ensis)and to provide specific shrimp allergens for diag nosis and immunotherapy of food allergic diseases.   Methods   Proteins from Metapenaeusensis were isolated by SDS-polyacr ylamide gel electrophoresis(SDS-PAGE)and identified by Western-blotting using the sera from patients allergic to shrimp.The allergen from Metapenaeusensis was purified by Ion Ex change Chromatogr aphy, Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography and Gel chromatography, consequently.   Results   There were 17 protein bands that separated by SDS-PAG E, ten of which were major bands.The proteins whose molecular weights(MW)were 68kD and 36kD conld bind with specific IgE from sera of shrimp allergic patients, so they were specific allergens of Metapenaeusensis.The allergen with MW of 68kD was purified by serial Chromatography, with final purity of 96%.   Conclusion   The allergens of Metapenaeus ensis are isolated, identified and purified.The specific allergen of Metapenaeus ensis with MW of 68kD is obtained with high purity, which may provide a basis for diagnosis and immunother apy of allergy.

Abstract:
  Objective   To study the maintainable time of humoral immunity against Frencisella tularensis after infection, influence factors and the recessive infection situation in healthy people.   Methods   Thirty-one subjects with acute tularemia and the same area healthy people were studied for antibodies to Frencisella tularensis by using Immuno-Chromatographic Assay(ICA)in third week(Jan., 1986), sixth month(July, 1986), second year(1987), third years(1988), sixth year(1991), seventh year(1992), eighth year(1993), ninth year(1994), twentieth year(2005).Special antibody were detected in the cohort study.Titers of > 1B40 were defined as positive.And the subjects were retrospectively studied in 2005.   Results   The GMT of subjects decreased from 11890.00(in 1986)to 46.94(in 2005).The rate of decay was 59.1%.Acorrelation was known between the titer of earlier period and that of the latephase(r=0.659, P < 0.05).There were no statistically significant difference between the content of questionnaire and the late-phasetiter.The control group was negative result during 20 years.   Conclusion   Special antibody in partial patients can last for a long time with a gradual reducing trend.The titer of the earlier period influence sig nificantly that of the late-phase without other factors.And there is no recessive infection in the healthy people.

Abstract:
  Objective   To probe into the dynamic change of the diet and some other life habits among the personnel dur- ing the time on a reef in the South China Sea, so as to provide basis for making rational medical health guarantee projects.   Methods   All the work, which inquired directly and noted down the items in the forms, was done by the medical workers trained uniformly continually for 90 days.   Results   As the time on the reef prolonged, the appetitive indexand appraisal on diet quality of the perso nnel wore reduced gradually(P < 0.001).For demanding, the vegetable fresh meat, seafood, soy food and birdsc eggs worear ranged in 1~5 order respectively.However, as the time on the reef prolonged, the demand of vegetable food was higher and higher, fresh meat and seafood food were lower and lower(P < 0.01~0.001).The number and the time of people participating in recreational and sport activities were reduced gradualy.Especially, it was more obviously after the ninth week(P < 0.01~0.001).Sleep quality was poorer and was tended to reduce(P < 0.001), but the average quantity that one per son smoked in one poorer, and sleep time was reduced gr adually(P < 0.001).The number of people smoking day was higher in the sixth to ninth week(P < 0.01~0.001).   Conclusion   During the 3 months that working on the reef, the diet and some other life habits of the personnel has changed in a certain degree.The change of the life habits might reflect the actual physiolog y demand of the body and have a certain negative effects on their physical and mental healthy status.

Abstract:
  Objective   To select phage-displayed mimotipe peptides that mimic the binding of deoxynivalenol(DON)to monoclonal antibodies(McAb)anti-DON, and using the DON mimotope peptide which instead of toxic DON artificial antigen; to establish ELISA method for detecting deoxynivalenol in food products.   Methods   Phage clones were obtainned by panning from PhD.-7 Phage Display Peptide Library, producing phage that bound specifically to monoclonal antibody 12DI anti-DON.The amino acid sequence of the binding peptide was CMRPWLQ.A phage indirect competitive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(named phage-ELISA)was established by using the mimotope phage in stead of DON artificial antigen for assaying deoxynivalenol concentration in corn and wheat.The linear range of the phage-ELISA was between 20 ng/ml and 400 ng/ml.   Results   DON concentration in wheat and corn samples detected by phage-ELISA were consistent with the results by the DON kit from r-Biopharm Company.   Conclusion   Phage mimotope peptide of deoxynivalenoi are effective substitutes for deoxynivalenol to establish EL ISA procedures for detecting deoxynivlenol in wheat and corn.

Abstract:
  Objective   To evaluate the 3T3 Mouse Fibroblast neutral red uptake phototoxicity test(3T3 NRU-PT) method detecting potential phototoxicity of cosmetic products.   Methods   20 kinds of function cosmetics were detected with the 3T3 NRU-PT(in vitro)and Guinea pig skin phototoxicity test(in vivo), The potential phototoxicity of cosmetics was evaluated in a prediction model in which either the Photo irritation Factor(PIF)or the Mean Photo Effect(MPE)were determined by PHOTO32, using ROC analysis to compare the coherence and sensitive of the method.   Results   The skin phototoxicity test showed that for the 20 kinds of function cosmetics, all animals responses value(ery thema and edema) < 2.For 3T3 NRU PT.all PIF values < 5, MPE < 0.1, That means whetherin vitro or in vivo, the phototoxicity responses were all negative.The sensitivity(or true positive rate), specificity, positive and negative predictive value, Youden index, Kappa indexall is Ⅰ.The data between in vitro and in vivo was consistent.   Conclusion   The 3T3 NRUPT testhas the same good internal consistency and reappearance as animal test.It may be a good alternative method for assessing the potential phototoxicity of cosmetic products in future.

Abstract:
  Objective   To evaluate the acute toxicity and reproductive toxicology of deferiprone(DHPO)under various doses and during different periods.   Methods   Median lethal dose(LD50)test was per for med, then Kun Ming mice were administrated different doses of DHPO to cary out the sperm malformation test under low(1/8 LD50), mid(1/4 LD50), high(1/2 LD50)doses.   Results   LD50 of DHPO was 562.34 mg/kg by gavage on mice.There were no significant differences in 1/8 LD50 group and 1/4 LD50 group in compar ison with negative control group in obser vations conducted din the 14th, 28th, 35th, 42nd, and 70th day(P > 0.05);While significant differences appeared between 1/2 LD50 group and in negative control group in observations conducted in the 14th, 28th and 35th day(P < 0.05);There were no significant differences between 1/2 L D50 group and negative control group in observations conducted in the 42nd day and 70th day(P > 0.05).   Conclusion   There is no evidence to indicate that 1/8 LD50, 1/4 LD50 dose have reproductive toxicology(P > 0.05).High dose of DHPO(1/2 LD50) has some degrees of reproductive toxicology, but can recover within 42 days.

Abstract:
  Objective   To observe the effect of chroniclead contaminant on protein expression of Ca2+/calmodulin dependent protein kinase II(CaMK II)in hippocampus of mice.   Methods   Chronic acetic lead contaminant was applied on mice(2.4, 4.8, 9.6 mmol/L), and pups were killed at 14, 28, 42, 56 d respectively.Western blotting was used to observe protein expression of CaMKII in hippocampus of mice.   Results   Compared with control group, CaMKII protein expression of chronic lead exposure mice in the hippocampus was downtrend.2.4 mmol/L lead exposure could make the protein expression at 14 days higher than that of control(P > 0.01), but at follow days lower than that of control.As to 4.8 mmol/L and 9.6 mmol/L concentration, the protein expression was always lower than that of control(P < 0.05).   Conclusion   Chronic lead exposure can disturb the normal change of CaMKII protein expression in mice.

  Objective   To know the reproductive-aged womencs reproductive health conception and its influence factors in poor areas and to explore measures of changing their wrong reproductive health conception.   Methods   By multi-stage sampling procedur e, 567 reproductive-aged women were investig ated.By using SPSS12.0, multi-logistic regression was used for analysis.   Results   Planned immunity was convinced cor rectly by 98.6% of the infor mants, hospitalized delivery was considered to be necessary by 79.8% of the informants.People who had correct cognition on prenatal care and postnatal visit accounted for 76.0% and 65.9% respectively.That the first breastfeed time and pregnant woman should take folacin were convinced correctly by 29.1% and 10.8% of the informants respectively.Nation and education level had significant influence on the reproductive conception, not the economic status.   Conclusion   The minority women are the maintar gets who need reproductive health education.The government should arouse the enthusiasm of the primary maternal and child health care officers to car ry outhealth education by financial measur es.

Abstract:
  Objective   To explore the effects of Angiotensin-2(Ang-2)on Vascular endothelial cell(VEC)secreting endothelin(ET)in hypoxia condition and protection of tee polyphenols(TPs).   Methods   VEC were divided into 6 groups: control group: simple hypoxia group; Ang-2 group; hypoxia+Ang-2 group; hypoxia+Ang-2+high concentration TPs group; hypoxia+Ang-2+low concentration TPs group.All groups except control group and simple Ang-2 group were underwenthypoxia which was produced by hypobaric chamber.The ET content before hypoxia and 0.5 h, 6 h as well as 24 h after hypoxia were measured with radioimmunoassay.   Results   (1) Simple hypoxia and simple Ang-2 promoted the VEC secreting ET significantly(P < 0.01);(2)TPs had the effect to inhibit the VEC secreting ET induced by hypoxia combined Ang-2(P < 0.01);The ET content of low concentration TPs was significant lower than that of the high concentration TPs at time of 6 h and 24 h(P < 0.01).   Conclusion   Ang-2 can significantly increase the ET release of VEC in hypoxia condition.TPs can decrease the VEC secreting ET induced by hypoxia combined Ang-2, and the protective effects of low concentration TPs is better.

Abstract:
  Objective   To study the apoptosis effect induced by Butylhydro xytoluene(BHT)on macrophage in lungunder subacute toxic exposure.   Methods   40 SD rats were divided randomly into three different doses g roups of BHT and one group as menstruum control and one group as control.The rats of BHT groups were given separately by the dose of 300, 600 and 1 200 mg/kg(po)for 8 days.   Results   At the end of exposure, the body weight(bw)of rat in BHT exposed groups were all decreased in the fourth day, especially the high dose group.At the eighth day the bw of rats in BHT groups have trends to increase, but which were still lower than control group.Coefficient of lung and liver were increased with the BHT dose raising.SGPT, SGOT in liver also raised and sho wn in a manner of dos-eeffect relationship, and inosine also be found raising in high BHT dose group.Pulmonary patho logy determination showed that there were raised alveolus spacing and interstitial inflammation in middle and high BHT dose groups, but fibrosis were not found.Hepatic pathology showed that some of point necrosis were found in cells which were around the liver central veins, especially the high dose g roup in which pseudolobules and fibrosis also be found.By means of technology of PI fluorescence stain and comet assay, ithad been found that BHT could induce apoptosis to pulmonary macrophage in the perfusate of isolated perfused rat lungs.   Conclusion   BHT may cause functional and organic damage of lung and liver, and it can induce apoptosis to pulmonary macrophage in rats.

  Objective   To establish appraisal index system for food service industry's pursuit of quantitative graded management.   Methods   Effect-evaluating indexes were designed and established by using the method of Delphi.   Results   Two levels of effect-evaluating index for food ser vice industry's pursuit of quantitative graded managemen were established by adopting the advice of specialists.The total importance value of the appraisal indexes was 4.00, among which the value of the primary indexes 3.89, and that of the secondary indexes was 4.02;the indexes whose full mark ratio was over 60% account for 40.9%, with the maximum being as high as 98.8%.The specialists.variation coefficients varied from 0.06 to 0.45;the harmony coefficient of the indexes system was 0.423, and that of the primary indexes was 0.713, with that of the secondary indexes being 0.429;all of the variation coefficients had significance after Pearson chi-square test; the weight coefficients of the three primary indexes were 0.406, 0.348 and 0.246.   Conclusion   The appraisal index system including 3 primary indexes and 19secondary indexes is established, and it can be used for evaluating the effect of food ser vice industry's pursuit of quantitative graded management, and ithas good credibility.

Abstract:
  Objective   To investigate the effect of lycopene on growth of human gastric carcinoma cells in vitro .   Methods   The human gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 cells were treated with lycopene.IC50 of lycopene on SGC-7901 cells calculated by 3-(4, 5-dimethylthiazole-2-yl)-2, 5 diphenyl tetrazoliumbromide(MTT)assay.The rate of growth suppression on SGC-7901 cells was evaluated by cell growth curve and clone formation.The effect of lycopene on DNA synthesis of human gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 cells was evaluated by 3H-thymidine(3H-TdR)incorporation.Cell morphology was observed by inverted microcope.   Results   Lycopene had significantly inhibitory effect on growth of human gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 cells, IC50 of 24, 48, 72, 96, 120, 148, 172h were 1.0×10-4, 9.2×10-5, 2.6×10-5, 4.8×10-5, 315×10-5, 413×10-5 and 3.1×10-5 mol/L, respectively.Treated with 0.3×10-4, 015×10-4、10-4 mol/L lycopene for 172 h, the rate of cells growth suppression was 64.75%, 79.02%, 87.13%, respectively.Treated with 0.3×10-4, 0.5×10-4, 10-4 mol/L lycopene for 24 h the rate of cloning formation of SGC-7901 cells was(30.2±1.9)%, (22.0±2.1)%, (16.9±2.0)%, respectively.Treated with 0.3×10-4, 0.5×10-4, 10-4 mol/L lycopene for 48 h, 3H-TdR in corporation of human gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 cells were(3757.06±114.27), (3148.24±190.23), (2408.32±155.83)cpm, respectively, which showed significantly decreased(P < 0.01), as compared with that in negative control group which were(5470.25±217.16) cpm; light absorption(value A)of human gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 cells also showed significant decrease(P < 0.01), as compared with that in negative control group.The morphological changes of human gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 cells were observed after treated with 0.3×10-4, 0.5×10-4, 10-4 mol/L lycopene for 24 h, such as rounder, smaller, desquamation, sparse arrangement, vacuole of different size and etc.   Conclusion   Lycopene can significantly inhibit proliferation of human gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 cells in dose-response manner in vitro .

  Objective   To study the apoptosis effect and mechanisms of MeHg on germ cells in male mice.   Methods   TUNEL assay and immunohistochemistry assay were used to examine the apoptosis effect and the expression of apoptosis genes of germ cells in male mice.   Results   MeHg could increase the apoptosis ratio of germ cells.With the increase of dose of MeHg, the apoptosis ratio of 1/50 ID50, 1/10 ID50 groups were significantly higher than that in control group(P < 0.05).Furthermore, the expression of Fas, Fas-L, caspase-3 in 1/100 ID50 group were enhanced, there was a significant difference between 1/100 ID50 and control group(P < 0.05), while in other groups were weakened with the increase of dose of MeHg.   Conclusion   MeHg can induce the apoptosis of germ cells in male mice.

  Objective   To investigate the influenceo of soybean isoflavones(SI)to ovariectomized rats' antioxidant ability.   Methods   After being ovariectomized, the 3-month old rats were divided into 2 groups randomly.They were supplememed with deionized water or SI solution by garage, The rats were sacrificed at the end of 13 weeks.The cerebral mitochondrial respiratory functions were assayed with Clark oxygen electrode.The levesl of malondialdelyde(MDA)and the activities of glutathione peroxidase(GSH2Px)were detrrmined.   Results   In the group of SI, rate of respiratory control(RCR), ratio of ADP and oxygen(P/O)and ratio of A TP and quantity of protein(OPR)increased significantly; the level of MDA decreased and the activity of GSH2Px increased.   Conclusion   The SI can enhance the ability of antioxidant in ovariectomized rats.

Abstract:
  Objective   To screen the influenza B viruses mutation within the amplified region which included the high-mutable site by RT-PCR-SSCP, and to study the characteristics of HA1 gene of influenza B viruses isolated from 2001 to 2004 in Tianjin.   Methods   Viral RNA was used for RT-PCR to amplify the high-mutable region of 308bp, then was classified by SSCP.The purified PCR products of representative strains were sequenced.The data obtained were analysed with the software DNASTAR.   Results   Influenza B viruses isolated in Tianjin in recent years were classified into five sorts by SSCP.Victoria-lineage strains compared with B/Hongkong/330/2001 had six mutation points in antigenic deter minants within amplified region, Yamagata-lineage strains compared with B/Beijing/76/98 had three mutation points, and with B/Sichuan/379/99 had ten.Yamagata-lineage strains deleted mutation at amino acid 163(N).There was no difference of amino acid on HA1 gene high-mutable site with O or D phase feature.   Conclusion   RT-PCR-SSCP can be applied for screening the representative strains of influenza virus.Yamagata-lineage and Victoria-lineage strains circulated alternatively in Tianjin recently, and the substitution of amino acids occurred gradually.Yamag ata-lineage strains were closely related to B/Beijing/76/98-like.

  Objective   To explore the effect of L-Arg on mice lipid peroxidation and cellular membr ane lipid fluidity subjected under high temperature.   Methods   Male adult SD mice were randomly divided into three groups, fed 12 days, exposed under heat str esses, sampled at differenthours through heat stress.The activity of superox ide dismutase(SOD)in serum and the yield of malondialdehy de(MDA)were measured with kit.Using Laser Scanning Confocal Microscopy(LSCM)and linearity quantitation scanning to detect the cellular membrane lipid fluidity.   Results   After heat stress SOD of all groups were higher than control group, group B and group C were obviously higher than group A((P < 0.05).The yield of MDA had stepped up than before, By the time adding, MDA of group B and group C were lower than group A(P < 0.05).Cellularmembr ane lipid fluidity group B and group C after heat str ess were higher than before, and it were also higher than group A under heat stress(P < 0.05).   Conclusion   Appropriate L-Arg suplement could increase the activity of SOD in serum, decrease the yield of MDA, keep the cellular membrane lipid fluidity efficiently, in order to inhibit injury of lipid peroxidation.L-Arg has the same antiox idation as VE, It is presumed that possibly throught increasing the activity of SOD and by L-Arg-NO pathway.

Abstract:
  Objective   To understand the pattern of human schistosoma infection among different seasons in the hilly areas under the present rural social and economic conditions so as to provide a theoretical foundation for the formulation of the strategy of Schistosomiasis control.   Methods   About 500 permanent people aged older than 5 in Xitan village were selected randomly in the last ten-day period of Junn and September, and the first ten days of December respectively.Their stool specimen were examined with the method of Kato-Katz(three slides were made from one specimen).   Results   The infection rate of human was generally 11.8% in Spring, 6.4% in Summer and 3.3% in F all with a significant difference among different seasons.The infection rate in Summer was significantly higher than that in Spring and F all in the population younger than 20, students in primary and middle schools, and both male and female people.For farmers, the infection rates in spring and summer were sig nificantly higher than the in autumn.For people older than 20, the infection rates reduced gradually and significantly with the seasons going.   Conclusion   Spring is the chiefinfection season and fall is the season with the least opportunity for infection in hilly areas.

  Objective   To study the effect of buckt horn abstract on the breast cancer pat ients who need chemotherapy with CEF in order to reduce the cardiac toxicity.   Methods   All the 60 patients were divided into experimental group and controlled group(n=30).All the patients were chemot herapied with CEF scheme rgularly.Experimental group took buckthorn abstract a week before chemotherapy(300 mg/d), controlled group took placebo with the same dose at the same time.The changes were obser ved in electrocardio gram(ECG), LVEF and myocadial enzyme.   Results   When epirubicin cumulative reached to 480 mg/m2, the rate of arrhythmia and ST-T change in experimental group were 6.7% and 13.3%, which were differed from controlled group(P < 0.05), LEVF in experimental group differed from controlled group(P < 0.05).Myocadial enzyme of experimental group(3.3%)differed from controlled group(13.3%)significantly(P < 0.01).   Conclusion   Buckthorn abstract has well effect on reducing the cardiac toxicity of the breast cancer patients with chemtherapy.

  Objective   To study the mental health of the elderly with diabetic and its related factors.   Methods   100 eldrly with diabetic and 186 health elderly were investigated and analyzed by Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90), Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS)and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ).   Results   The patients with diabetic were in worse mental health status than the health contrasting group.It was related to many factors.Stepwise regression indicated that sex, aged, occupation, education, children social support total score, impobjective support, EPQ-E, and EPQ-N were major factors.   Conclusion   Reinforcing mental health serv ices would be important to prevention and treatment of the elderly with diabetic the services for mental health.

  Objective   To study the effects of g lutathione(GSH)and alpha-lipoic acid(LA)on rats brain oxidative damage and striatum neuron apo ptosis induced by manganese.   Methods   32 Wistar rats were divided into control, manganese chlor ide (MnCl2), GSH and LA group by weight at random.Control group was injected 0.9% sodium chloride intraperitoneally.Other groups were injected 150 μmol/(kg·bw)MnCl2 intraper itoneally.2 hours later, control and MnCl2 group were injected 0.9% sodium chloride subcutaneously, while GSH and LA group were injected 35 μmol/(kg·bw)LA and 1 mmol/(kg·bw) GSH subcutaneously respectively.All groups were administrated 5 times per week, and inter vened once every ot her day.The experimental period was 4 weeks.Then levels of GSH, malony dialdehyde(MDA)and activities of glutathione perox idase(GSH-Px)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)in the brain were determined; and striatum neuron apoptosis was detected by TUNEL method.   Results   Levels of MDA in MnCl2 group were higher than that in control group, and levels of MDA in GSH and LA group were lower than that in MnCl2 group.Apoptosis rate of striatum neuron in MnCl2 group was higher than that in control, GSH and LA group.   Conclusion   Treatment with GSH and LA on rats could antagonize oxidative damage of brain and striatum neuron apoptosis induced by manganese.

Abstract:
  Objective   To study the effects of BaP on apoptosis through the Fas/Fas-Lsignal pathway in mice liver cells.   Methods   ICR mice were divided into five groups, control group and BaP treated group, which were oral exposure withoil and BaP(5, 10, 20, 40 mg/kg)respectively.Immunohistochemical method was utilized to detect the expressions of Fas, Fas-L, caspase-3 and the apoptosis were measured by AO/EB double stained method.   Results   The expressions of Fas, Fas-L, caspase-3 and apoptosis rate in BaP treated group were significantly higher than those in control group(P < 0.05).   Conclusion   BaP could induce apoptosis in mice liver cells and the Fas/Fas-Lsignal pathway was one of the important pathways.

Abstract:
  Objective   To observe the diabetes prevention effects of oral administration of the admixtures of insulin and cholera toxin B subunit(CTB)on female non-obese diabetic mice, and to offer evidence for constructing diabetes administrative project in community.   Methods   40 3-weeks-old female NOD mice were divided randomly into four groups.Oral administr ation persisted from 4-weeks-old to 12-weeks-old.The whole observation lasted to 26-weeks-old.Glycosuria and glycemia were measured from 12 weeks to 26 weeks.The cumulative incidence rate were compared to estimate the effect of oral administration.   Results   Oral administration of CTB+insulin 100 μg, CTB+insulin 1 mg and insulin 1 mg to female NOD mice significantly suppressed incidence of diabetes than PBS group.The cumulative incidence rate of PBS, CTB+insulin 100 μg, CTB+insulin 1 mg and insulin 1 mg were 100%, 60%, 60%, 40%(P < 0.05).And two examination groups had no significant difference with the insulin 1 mg group.   Conclusion   Oral administration of CTB+insulin 100 μg, CTB+insulin 1 mg to female NOD mice significantly can suppress incidence of diabetes and enhance the diabetes prevention effect than PBS group.

Abstract:
  Objective   To report the results of microbiological examinat ion and drug sensitivity test of Streptococcus suis type Ⅱ fulminant infection in swine in Jilin province in spring of 2005.   Methods   Fromill or dead pigs, suspicious strains of Streptococcus suis were isolated.These strains were identified as Streptococcus suis type Ⅱbated on the results of Gram staining and microscopy, and slide agglutination test with specific diagnostic antiserum.   Results   The isotates of Streptococus suis type Ⅱ were sensitive to five of the tested antibiotics such as Ampicillin and were resistant to six of the tested antibiotics such as gentamycin.   Conclusion   By disinfection of breeding environment and feed, iso lation of the ill pigs, Ampicillin and Rifampicin used as their apeutic drugs, the fulminant epidemic of Streptococcus suis type Ⅱ was successfully controlled and non of the persons was infected with the microbe.

Abstract:
  Objective   To evaluate the transformation of the hepatitis B virus sur face antigen(HBsAg)car riers.   Methods   Aretrospective questionnaire investigation with serological examine was used in this study to evaluate the transformation of HBsAg carriers.The transformation outcome included the chronical Hepatit is B, liver cirrhosis, liver cancer and death.   Results   197 HBsAg carriers(meanage of 46.19?9.48 years)were followed up by retrospective study.The follow-up time was over 8 years(from 8 to 34 years).The cumulative cases of negative HBsAg, chronical Hepatitis B, liver cirrhosis and liver cancer were 2, 33, 9 and 10, respectively.The cumulative cases of death were 11, meanw hile 9 died of liver cancer and 2 died of liver cirrhosis.The proportion of chronical Hepatitis B, liver cirhosis and liver cancer in the male(39/103)were more than the proportion in the female(19/94)greatly(χ2=14.61, P < 0.05).   Conclusion   The probability that the positive HBsAg turned into negative is small.The HBsAg carriers should have body examined frequently.

  Objective   To probe into public health emergency responding capacity of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC)in Heilongjiang province.   Methods   A questionnaire survey was carried out on 21 CDCs to get their organizational information and chose 16 CDCs to make questionnaire survey on the technical workers and in-depth interview on the main managers in these organizations.   Results   The basic establishment and instrument in these organizations had been improved evidently; all the CDCs had made preparations for public health emergency, so emergency responding system had come into being primarily; The provincial CDC responding capacity was very well, and the capacity of the CDCs in grass roots need to be streng thened.   Conclusion   How to construct the responding capacity of public health emergency is a long-term topic, and it can not be done in one day; the responding consciousness and the spot manag ing capacity of the professional should be enhanced, especially in grass roots.

  Objective   To know the prevention situation of Hepatitis B in Gansu province, and to analyze the first dose coverage rate timely for HBV in rural areas and the main factors, and explore the effective measures to improve the coverage rate timely.   Methods   The study sampled Weiyuan county, Minxian county in Dingxi prefecture, and Ningxian county, Heshui county in Qingyang prefecture, whose coverage rates were low.In 8 towns and 32 villages, 1 107 children born between Jan.1, 2003 and Feb.28, 2005 were detected, to know the reasons for why not to ino culate or not timely by taking interferential measures, such as pro pagandizing to parents and training the tow nship and village doctors.   Results   After taking interferential measures, the first dose coverage rate and timely rate increased from 93.93%, 44.75% to 94.02%, 77.17% respectively.The Hepatitis B preventive kno wledge known rate of township docto rs increased from 431.85% to 87.79%.and the parents known rate increased from 52.84% to 91.35%.The difference was showed distinct statistic significance.   Conclusion   To propag andize parents and train township doctors are the effective preventive measure to improve the first dose coverage rate timely for HBV in rural areas.

Abstract:
  Objective   To evaluate the association between serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)and Coronary Heart Disease with Metabolic Syndrome(MS).   Methods   1326 people who accorded with admitting standardization and date completion were sampled through the chronic diseases investigation from 6 communitys in the resident site of WanZai district.Through collecting fasting blood sample, the concentrations of h-CRP and other biochemical indicator were measured.The difference of h-CRP level between MS and Coronary Heart Disease were compared.   Results   During 1326 people, 264(19.4%)cases were final diagnosise with MS, 277(20.3%)cases with hypertention, 164(12.0%)cases with Coronary Heart Disease and, 92 cases were Coronary Heart Disease with MS(34.8%).The level of hs-CRP was influenced by age, body weight, smoking, blood lipid and blood glucose.The level of hs-CRP was higher in the patients with hy pertention, Coronary Heart Disease and MS than normal people.the level of hs-CRP was a independent risk factor for MS or hyper tention or coronary heart disease after correcting the risk factors of age, body weight, fasting blood sugar, total cholesterol and trigly ceride.The more the risk factors were, the highter the level of hs-CRP was.   Conclusion   The level of hs-CRP is a independent risk factor for MS with coronary heart disease and can predict occurring of the coronary heart disease.

  Objective   To find out the effective limits of zinc supplementation for subhealth and to study the possible mechanism.   Methods   Y-labyrinth test was used to exam the function of learning and memory, and ABC immunohistochemistry were applied to measure the levels of protein expression of nNOS in hippocampus of rats, respectively.   Results   Zinc supplementation at lower levels1such as 200 mg/(kg·bw)zinc in feeds-could improve learning and memory function by increasing the protein expression of nNOS in hippocampal fo rmation and subregions of CA1 and CA3 and dentate gyrus of rats; excessive zinc supplementation beyond the limits1[≥600 mg/(kg·bw)zinc in feeds]could impair learning and memory by decreasing the protein expression of nNOS in hippocampus of animals.   Conclusion   Zinc supplementation at lower levels could improve learning and memory function of rats, and increase of the protein ex pression of nNOS in hippocampus might be one of the most important mechanisms of zinc affecting learning and memory.

Abstract:
  Objective   To investigate the potential of two step cluster ing analysis in patho logicalimage analysis.   Methods   Two step clustering was used to cluster normal, low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion, high-grade squamous intraepit helial lesion cervical cells with 51 char acters.Firstly, the cases were clustered intomany small sub-clusters and then the sub-clusters were clustered into the desired number of clusters.The number of clusters was automatically determined by Bayesian Information Criteria with log-likelihood distance measure.   Results   Classification accuracy of normal, low-grade squamous intr aepithelial lesion and high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion cervical cells was 98.0%, 96.1% and 100%, respectively.   Conclusion   With the high classification accuracy, the two step clustering can measure the variables.significance, which could provide useful information for image analysis.

  Objective   To investigate the oxidative injur y of hematite nanoparticles from the point of influence on membrane fluidity and its genotoxicolog y effects in vitro.   Methods   To determinate the fluorescent intensity by spectroflurophoto meter with 1, 6-dipheny-l 1, 3, 5-hex atriene(DPH)as a fluorescein mark, thus to calculate the value of fluidity degree according to the specific for mula with fluor escent intensity data.To observe the damage of hematite nanopar ticles to DNA by single-cell gel electrophoresis(SCGE)test in vitro.   Results   Decrease of membrane fluidity was found in group of dose 128μg/ml, however no obvious damage to DNA obser ved at every dose level of 8, 32, 128 μg/ml.   Conclusion   Under the condition of our test, it is demo nstrated from the experiment results in vitro that Fe 2O3 nano particles may induce the oxidative stress in cells and consequently lead to lipid peroxidation on membr ane, while no obvious damage to genetic materials in cells.
