Abstract:
Objective To investigate the state of sex activity of residents dwelling in tent afterearthquake and analyze the relationship between sex activity and anxiety.Methods Cluster random sampling method was adopted.The condition of sex behavior was inquired face to face.The state of anxiety was examined by SAS questionnaire and the subjects with the score more than 50 was considered as anxious.Excel and SPSS 11.0 software were used to analyze the data.Results 107 of 284 people in the study admitted the sex experience.The proportion of anxiety in the subjects with sex experience was 14.96% (16/107).However,in the subjects without sex activity,the proportion was 261 56% (47/177).There was a significant correlation between the two groups(χ2=5.20,P=0102,OR=0.49,OR 95% CI=0126~0.91).The tendency Chi square test also showed a significant correlation between sex activity and anxiety degree(χ2=7184,P=01049).The proportion of anx iety showed signficant difference between the group with sex activity and the group without sex activity in the female(χ2=61 15,P=0.01)and the 40~49 aged group(χ2=4.53,P=0.03).Conclusion After the earthquake,sex activity occured in the people dwelling in tents.Proper sex activity is helpful to release anxiey.Close attention should be paid to the sex activity of female and 40~49 aged group refugees afterearthquake.

Abstract:
Objective To explore the utilization of community health service and satisfactory degree among the community elderly population and provide reliable evidence for performing community health service.Methods By cluster sampling in four community-based health service stations,257 elderly clients above 65 years old were selected to receive face to face investigation.SPSS 11.5 statistical package was used to describe the frequency distribution and construct regression model to analyze influencing factors.Results Elderly female,subjects with lowereducational level and subjects with lower average household income occupied the most of elderly clients who came to visit the clinic.The aim to visit the clinic was as following:drug purchase(80.2%),treatment and diagnosis(32.7%),transfusion(32.7%),etc.The reason to visit the clinic were as following:convenience(60.0%),short-time for traffic(45.9%),effective approach to deal with common disease(17.9%),good manner(16.7%).The overall satisfactory rate was 46.3%.Influencial factors on satisfactory degree of the elderly population included gender,educational level,average household income,the way to pay for medical expenses,the first choice of medical unit.Conclusion The elderly community residents need high quality health care service and the quality of medical service in community needs to be further improved.

Abstract:
Objective To knowthe nutrition status of the rural elderly by a diet survey.Methods A 24hr diet recall in 500 elderly people was used to survey and analyze total quantity of food consumption,nutrients intake and the constitution of diet.Results The average daily intake of energy of the investigated males and females was 91.8% and 85.20% of RN I(Recommended Nutrient Intake),the intake of protein was 91.4% and 87.1% of RN I,the retinol was 64.0% and 58.3% of RNI and the Vit C was 63.9% and 56.2% of RN I,respectively.The intake of Vit E was 60.7% and 5319% of A I(Adequate Intake),respectively.More than 60% of the source of energy was from vegetation,in which 56.5% was grains.39.7% of the protein was from grain,and 3817% from animal food.For male and female subjects,66.2% and 69.7% of the total energy was provided by carbohydrate,17.5% and 15.8% by fat,and 16.3% and 15.2% by protein,raspectively.Conclusion The intakesof eggs and aquatic food were enough in the diet of the elderly people,while the intakesof fruits,vegetables and grains were lower.The intake of protein was ideal,but the intakes of Vit E,Vit C and retinol were insufficient.The ratio of energy provided by fat was lower than by carbohydrate or protein.
Relationship between quality of life and family function in elderly hypertensive patients

Abstract:
Objective To explore the relationship between the quality of life and family function in elderly hypertensive patients.Methods A total of 4.5 elderly hypertensive patients was investigated using WHOQOL-BREF and Family Assessment Device(FAD).Results The average scores of four domains were 52.46(physical),45.60(psychological),50.04(social relationships)and 48.97(environment)for the quality of life,and 2.17(problem sloving),2.28(communication),2.29(roles),2.38(affective responsiveness),2.39(affective involvement),2.36(behavior control)and 2.28(general functioning) for FAD,respectively.Canonical correlation analysis revealed that roles and affective responsiveness,physical and psychological were the main factor for FAD and quality of life,respectively.There was a significant negative correlation between FAD and physical,psychological level of quality of life.Conclusion The less FAD is correlative with the lower quality of life among elderly hypertensive patients.
Investigation on cognitive impairment among elders in urban community of Guiyang

Abstract:
Objective To investigate prevalence and risk factors of cognitive impairment among the elders in Guiyang city.Methods Using multistage sampling,elder people(≥60 years old)were surveyed in urban community of Guiyang by MMSE questionnaire.Results 3.75 elder peoples'cognitive function was evaluated.We found that 647(20%)had cognitive impairment,including mild 465(14.4%)and serious cognitive impairment 182(5.7%).The cognitive impairment prevalence in the female was higher than that of in the male.The patients with cognitive impairmenthad multi-domain impairment.In multi-regression analysis,the score of MMSE was related to educational attainment,score of ADL,age,and gender.Conclusion Elder people's cognitive impairment is serious in urban community of Guiyang.Elder people's cognitive impairment is related to grade of education,age,and gender.It is important to inspect elder peoples'cognitive function early and to improve their quality of life.

Abstract:
Objective To study the medicine usage and adverse drug reaction in the elderly in urban community of Guiyang city.Methods Using multistage sampling,3229 people aged 60 years and over were selected from urban communities in Guiyang,and inquired about demographic status,chronic disease history,medicine usage,and adverse drug reaction status.Data were analyzed with Chi-square test by SPSS 10.0 software.Results The rate of medicine usage among the elderly was 52.0%,and there were significant difference for medicine usage in different sex,age groups and education(P<0.05).The rate of adverse drug reaction was 5.1%,and among the subjects of female,living without spousce and unreasonable medication,the incidence of adverse drug reaction was 6.0%,6.7% and 16.1%,respectively.Conclusion The rate of medicine usage is high among the elderly in Guiyang,and adverse drug reaction is common in the elderly.Strengthening survey and intervention of medicine is important to improve health condition of the elderly.

Abstract:
Objective To explore the association between body mass index(BMI),waist to hip ratio(WHR)and clinical benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)risk in older men.Methods A hospital-based case-control study was conducted.Cases(n=280)were men surgically and histologically confirmed with BPH,and controls(n=280)were men admitted to hospital for different diseases not related with prostatic conditions.Using a structured questionnaire,all subjects were interviewed and waist and hip circumference of the subjects were measured.The odds ratios(OR)and 95% confidence intervals(CI)of BPH for BM I and WHR were estimated with unconditional multiple logistic regression models.Results WHR≥0.9 was positively related to BPH(compared with WHR<0.9:O R=1.16,95% CI 1.05~4.87,P<0.05).Age-adjusted relative risks for BPH in WHR≥0.9 versus WHR<0.9 stratified by BM I(obesity)were estimated.For men who were overweight(BM I 24.0~27.9)or obesity(BM I≥28.0),WHR≥0.9 was associated with a significantly increased risk for clinical BPH(compared with WHR<0.9:OR=2.65,95% CI 1.33~6.96 and O R=3.00,95% CI=1.81~8.84,respectively).Conclusion Obesity(especially central obesity)is an important risk factor of clinical BPH.For overweight or obesity,central obesity is associated with a significantly increased risk of clinical BPH.

Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive sanitary and anti-epidemic measures for controlling epidemic of communicable disease and improving health consciousness in residents of ear thquake area.Methods Two investigation were conducted before and after the intervention among 9 644 participants of 3 106 households in 5 villages selected.Results The injured people was 152.The people dead was 59.House destruction rate was 99.84%.95.30% of refugees lived in tent.0.52% of refugees had fever,diarrhea,ophthalmopathy.87.02% of refugees.drinking water was supplied by the government.96.88% of refugees.food was provided by the government.96.36% of refugees received health education.Conclusion There was no communicable disease prevalence among local residents.Comprehensive sanitary and anti-epidemic measures,health education,environment ster ilization,supply of drinking water,reasonable disposal of corpses are effective intervention measures.

Abstract:
Objective To analyze the socio-economic factors on the impact of multivitamin/folic acid supplementation in women of childbearing age,so as to provide the scientific evidence for approaches to conduct population-based inter vention for neural tube defects.Methods Seven provinces were selected in China,and,according to the level of economic development,one county and one city were sampled from the mid-level ones in each province.The respondents sampled by using multi-stage systematic and simple sampling in each country and city were those who were planning to make pregnancy or being pregnant during the survey.The total number of questionnaires collected was 5593.The survey mainly included the women's age,education,occupation,family economic status,the support of family members,the health services provided by the community,the knowledge and beliefs about birth defects,and the utilization of folic acid supplementation.Results Nearly 50% of the women were willing to use the multivitamin/folic acid supplementation,but those who were actually using it were only 3.4%.Support of family members was the key factor of requirement for the folic acid supplementation.Women's socio-economic status,support of family members,and better health services by community were key factors of use of folic acid supplementation.Conclusion Various socio-economic factors had impacton utilization of multiv itamin/folic acid supplementation in women of childbear ing age.So,to improve the cover age of women using the folic acid supplementation,we should establish a community-and-family-based intervention model.

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the prevalence of metabo lic syndrome and its risk factors among Mongolian people in Tongliao city.Methods A total of 2589 Mongolian people aged 20 and elder from agricultural and pastoral areas in Tongliao City of Inner Mongolia were included in this study.A cross-sectional survey was conducted to collect data by personal interviewusing a standar dquestio nnaire.Height,weight,waist circumference,hip circumference,bloo dpressure,fasting plasma glucose,blood fat and CRP were measured.Results 2 536 people completed all biochemical examination.The crude prevalence of metabolic syndrome(M S)was 20.9%,and women had a higher prevalence of MS than men(women 26.4%,men 12.9%,χ2=671 85,P<0.001).The age-standardized prevalence of the MS was 17.1%,and compared with men,women had a higher prev alence of MS(woman 21.6%,man 11.4%,χ2=44.86,P<0.001).The prevalence of obesity,raised blood pressure,raised triglycerides,reduced HDL-cholesterol,and raised fasting glucose was 36.0%,50.7%,17.5%,54.0% and 22.2%,respectively.The result of univariable Logistic regression showed that age,female,smoking,drinking,family hypertension history,T C,L DL-C,apoB,CRP,hip circumference,waist-hipratio and BMI index were risk factors of MS in the subjects(P<0.05).After controlling for confounding factors,age,female,L DL-C,CRP,hip cir cumference,waist-hip ratio and BMI index were risk factors of the MS(P<0.05).Conclusion The prevalence of metabolic syndrome in local Mongolian people was high,and compared with men,women had a higher prevalence of M S.After controlling for confounding factors,age,female,L DL-C,CRP,hip circumference,waist-hip ratio and BMI index were independent risk factors of the MS among Mongolian people in agricultural and pastoral areas.

Abstract:
Objective To explore the expression and the function of Toll-like receptors 4 in dendritic cells from periph2 eral blood of chronic hepatitis patients.Methods Monocytes from hepatitis B patients and health controls were incubated with GM-CSF and IL-4 and IFN-αto induce dendritic cells(DC).The response of allogeneic lymphocytes was detected by M TT assay.The concentration of cytokines in the supernatant was tested by EL ISA assay.The expression of TL R 4 mRNA was analyzed by R T-PCR.Results The proliferation of isotype xenoma lymphocyte induced by DC stimulation in health control group was obviously stronger than that of in chronic hepatitis-B patients group(P<0.01).The excretion level of IL-12 also increased(20.74±0.19 pg/ml vs 13.21±0.21pg/ml,P<0.01)compared with chronic hepatitis-B pa2 tients group.However the expression of TL R4 mRNA increased(P<0.01)in the patients group compared with health control group(0.79±0.11 pg/ml vs 1.26±0.07pg/ml,P<0.01).Conclusion The function of dendritic cells from peripheral blood of chronic hepatitis patients is defective and the defect may be related to the inhibition of IL-12 secretion caused by the overexpression of TL R4 mRNA.
Association between PLA2 gene polymorphism and schizophrenia

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the genetic association between PLA2 G4C gene polymorphism and schizophrenia in the north Han Chinese.Methods The method of PCR-based ligase detection reaction(PCR-LDR)was applied to genotype 3 single nucleotide polymorphisms(SN Ps)of PLA2 G4C gene among 201 pedigrees consisting of father,mother and affected offsprings with schizophrenia.Haplotype relative risk test(HRR),transmission disequilibrium test(TD T)and clinical symptom analysis were conducted to analyze the genotyping data.Results The genotypic frequency of PLA2 G4C gene did not deviate from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in both case and control groups.HRR and TD T showed that the 3 SN Ps were not associated with schizophrenia(P>0.05).Analysis for clinical symptoms association showed that Rs2307279 was associated with delusion of sin(χ2=5.755,P=0.016).rs2.62886 and rs89.014 were associated with illogic of thinking and the character before illness(χ2=6.777,P=0.009;χ2=11.113,P=0.001;χ2=12.468,P=0.002;χ2=9.924,P=0.007).Rs2.62886 was associated with monstrous behavior(χ2=5.409,P=0.020).Conclusion PLA2 G4C gene polymorphism is associated with clinical positive symptoms of schizophrenia.

Abstract:
Objective To understand the prevalence of high risk behavior of AIDS and the status of AIDS related knowledge,attitude among drug users in Haikou city.Methods A baseline survey was conducted among drug users in a drug user rehibilitation center.An investigation of A IDS related knowledge was carried out before and after a health education on AIDS among 208 drug users.Results After the health education the knowledge of AIDS among drug users improved markedly.The lowest awareness rate of specific knowledge about AIDS incresed from 23.2% to 51.1% after the health education among the subjects.Conclusion Health education can significantly improve the awareness of AIDS knowledge among drug users.
The construction of yeast two-hybrid bait vector pGBKT7-RARα-V

Abstract:
Objective To construct the bait ex pression vector pGBKT 7-RARA-V of retinoic acid receptor variant protein for screening the target proteins interacting with the bait protein through the yeast two-hybrid technique.Methods The frag ments of RARA-Vbinding domain was amplified by PCR,and then cloned into the bait expression vector pGBK T7.After being verified by sequencing,the bait vector pGBKT 7-RARA-V was transformed into AH109 yeast cells.Then the expression of the bait protein was analyzed by Western Blotting.Toxicity and self-activation of the bait protein were detected.Results RARA-V was amplified and cloned into pGBKT 7 successfully.The bait vector was transfor med into AH109 as well and no tox icity and self-activation were found.The expression of the bait protein was confirmed by Western Blotting.Conclusion The bait expression vector of RARA-V was constructed successfully,which layed the foundation for screening tar get proteins interacting with the bait protein using the yeast two-hybrid technique.
Mucosal immune responses after intranasal immunizeation of CpG ODN plus Toxoplasma gondii STAg in BALB/c mice

Abstract:
Objective To investig ate the development of different mucosal site immune responses induced by intransal immunization with CpG ODN plus Tox oplasma gondii soluble tachyzoite antigen(STAg)and the adjuvant effect of CpG ODN acting as complex mucosal vaccine adjuvant against Toxoplasma gondii.Methods Seventy-two 5-to-6 week-old female BA LB/c mice were divided into control group and infected group.The mice of infected group were immunized intranasally two times at 14-day intervals with 10Lg CpG ODN plus 20Lg STAg.The mice of control group were immunized intranasally with PBS at the same time.Six mice in each group were killed by dislocation of cervical vertebra on week 1,2,3,4,5,6 respectively after last immunity.IgA inrinse solution of nasopharynx,lung,intestinal,and vaginal were detected by ELISA.Results The average IgA level in each of the infected group was higher than that of the control group.IgA in nasopharynx wash samles was the highest on week 1 and it washigher than that of the control on each week but the difference was not significant.IgA inlung wash samples achieved the peak value on the 5th week and was higher than that of the control on week 4,5.6(P<0.001).IgA in intestine wash samples was higher than that of the control in each week and increased significantly on week 2,3(P<0.01)and the level was the highest on week 5.Conclusion Intranasal immunization with CpG ODN adjuvant and STAg can effectively induce persistent mucosal immune responses.

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effects and possible mechanisms of anthocyanin extracted from black rice(A EBR)on insulin sensitivity in fructose-induced insulin resistant rats.Methods A total of 48 rats were randomly divided into 4 groups fed with different diets for 8 weeks.Compared with the control group,the impact of A EBR on insulin sensitivity and activation of c-Jun NH2-terminal kinase(JNK)in fructose-fed rats supplemented with or without 5g/kg of A EBR was assessed.Results A EBR prevented and attenuated high-fructose-induced insulin resistance,reduced the activation of JNK and improved insulin transduction in adipose tissue of fructose-fed rats(P<0.05).Conclusion The improvement of insulin sensitivity by A EBR in fructose-fed rats is associated with the inhibition of JNK activation.
Preparation of immunomagnetic nanoparticles and application in detection of E.coli O157: H7

Abstract:
Objective To prepare a kind of mag neticiron-dextran nanoparticles that was coated with anti.coli O157:H7 IgG,and to establish the optimum conditions of magnet ic nanoparticles applicatio n for the detection of E.coli O157:H7.Methods Magneticiron-dextran nano particles were prepared by reacting a mixture of ferric and ferrousions with dextran polymers under alkaline conditions.The particles were coated with antiserum against E.coli O157:H7 by the periodat eoxidation-borohydr ide reduction procedure.F inally,the immunomagnetic nanoparticles were prepared for the detection.Results E.coli O157:H7 could be isolated from samples within 15 min with the sensitivity of 101CF U/ml oreven less.In the presence of 108CFU/ml other organisms,the sensitivity was 101-102 CF U/ml.Nonspecfic bacter ium sho wed very weak influence on detection results.Conclusion Isolation of target bacteria by immunomagnetic nanoparticles is an efficient method with high sensitivity and specificity.

Objective To analyze the protein changes of adipocyte differentiation using proteomic technique in order to explore the mechanism of adipogenesis.Methods The model of adipocyte differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) was used for identifying the changes of proteins following the differentiation in vit ro.Protein lysates obtained from differentiated cells were compared after adipocyte differentiation for 0,1 and 3 weeks by 2-dimensional gel electrophoresis and tandem mass spectroscopy.Results 44 proteins were up or down2regulated over 2-fold in the process of adipocyte differentiation.The majority of the modulated proteins belonged to the following functional categories:metabolic(39%),cytoskeleton(11%),redox(6.8%),protein synthesis and degradation(15.9%),signal transduction(6.8%)and molecular chaperones(4.5%).Conclusion The modulated proteins play important roles in adipogenesis and MSCs are promising tools to investigate the commitment of multipotent precursor cells into individual cell lineages including preadiopcytes.

Abstract:
Objective To observe the effects of lowpower microwave on serum testosterone,serum cholesterol and sexual function of male mice.Methods 48 adult male mice were randomized into 3 exposure groups and 1 control group.The exposure groups were exposed to 900 MHz microwave(250μW/cm2,150μW/cm2,50μW/cm2,24 h/d,3415 d).Capture incubation period(CIP),capture times(CT),serum testosterone,serum cholesterol were used to evaluate effects of the lowpower microwave.Results CIP was significantly increased in exposure group(150μW/cm2)compared with that of the normal control(P<0.05).Serum testosterone,serum cholesterol of exposed groups were significantly decreased compared with that of the normal control(P<0.05,respectively).In microwave exposure group(250μW/cm2)serum cholesterol was significantly decreased compared with the normal control(P<0105).Conclusion Low-power microwave radiation(150μW/cm2)can influence the level of serum testosterone,and further impact the sexual function of male mice through affecting the serum cholesterol.

Objective To study the inhibitive effect of isorhamnetin on epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)signal pathway of human gastric carcinoma cells in vit ro.Methods The inhibitory rate was calculated after the human gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 cells were treated with 018×10-4,112×10-4,214×10-4mol/L isorhamnetin,10% RPM I,0.048mol/L fluorouracil.Expression of EGFR,grb2 and activity of AP-1 were measured by R T-PCR and calcium phosphate-DNA coprecipitation transfection after the SGC-7901 cells were transfected with EGFR and grb2 antisense by Lipofect.Results Inhibitive rate of 55.06%,62.03%,66.46%,70.25% occurred,respectively after 24h of 0.8×10-4,1.2×10-4,2.4×10-4 mol/L isorhamnetin and 0.048mol/L fluorouracil treatment.Expression of EGFR,grb2 mRNA and AP-1 activity were significantly decreased in a dose-dependent manner after 24h of 0.8×10-4,1.2×10-4,2.4×10-4 mol/L isorhamnetin treatment.The blockage of EGFR significantly increased the expression of grb2 and AP-1 activity.The transfection of grbantisense significantly enhanced AP-1 activity,but the expression of EGFR mRNA wasn't significantly affected.Conclusion Isorhamnetin can significantly inhibit proliferation of human gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 cells by controlling the EGFR signal pathway.

Abstract:
Objective To observe the effect of 3,4,5-trihydrox ybenzoic acid dimmer(T AD)in different concentration on apoptosis and cell cycle prog ression of lymphoma EL-4 cells in v itro and ex plore its possible mechanism of tumorg rowth inhibition.Methods Survival rate was observed with M T T assay.The changes of apoptosis and cell cycle progression were measured with flowcy tometry.Results TAD of 3.125,6.25,12.5 and 25 Lg/ml could inhibit the proliferation of El-4 lymphoma cells in vitro.The survival rates of the cells treated with TAD were significantly lowerthan that of in the control(P<0.01,P<0.001).The apo ptotic percentag es of the cells treated with TAD increased signficantly as compared with those in the control(P<0.01,P<0.001).And the percentages of G0/G1 phase cells treated wit h TA D were significantly hig herthan those of in the control(P<0.05,P<0.01,P<0.001).While the percentages of Sphase cells treated with TAD were significantly lowerthan those in the control(P<0.05,P<0.01,P<0.001).The percentages of G2 phase cells did not change significantly.Conclusion The inhibiting effect of TAD on tumorgrowth could be due to cell apoptosis caused by G0/G1 phase arrest.

Objective To isolate and purify the antimicrobial peptides with anti-toxoplasm a gondii activity isolated from the haemlymph of M usca domestica larvae.Methods The antimicrobial peptides of Musca domestica larvae were induced by infection and injury were isolated and purified by trituration,centrifugalization and column chromatography.Then the antimicrobial peptides with anti-toxoplasma activity were sieved by M TT colorimetric method and haemacytometry.Results It was found that two antimicrobial peptides had anti-toxoplasma activity through Resource Scationic column chromatography and Superdex G75 gel column chromatography.Conclusion The two antimicrobial peptides with anti-toxoplasma activity existing in the haemlymph of M usca domestica larvae had different anti-toxoplasma effect.

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the expressions of glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP)and acidic calcium-binding protein(S100β)in hippocampus of rat with stimulation of chronic unpredictable mild stress.Methods Thirty adult male Wister rats were selected for the model construction of chronic unpredictable mild stress and divided into two groups randomly.The depression group was treated with eight weeks of random stimulus.During the course,the influence of stress on learning and memory were observed by the rat step down test and the expression of S100β,GFAP protein in hippocampus were detected by immunohistochemistry.Results The GFAP and S100βimmunoreactions positive cell number in depression group were significantly increased compared with that of the control group.The reaction time was significantly longer than that of the control,the pre-reaction time was shorten obviously through the rat step down test,and the error frequence was significantly increased after 4 weeks stress.Conclusion Chronic unpredictable mild stress can affect the ability of learning and memory in rats.It can also induce depression and increase the expression of GFAP and S100β.

Objective To explore the effect of Sj26 and Sj23 gene transfered dendr itic cells(DC)ag ainst the infection of Schistosoma japonicum.Methods BAL B/c mice were immumized three times with Sj26 and Sj23 genetransfered DC,Sj26 gene transfered DC,Sj23 gene transfered DC,plasmid pcDNA3 transfered DC and untreated DC,respectively.The number of adult worm and the egg number in the liver were calculated six weeks after challenging with the cercariae of Schistosoma japonicum.Results The rate of worm reduction and eggreduction in the group of Sj26 and Sj23 gene transfered DC was 40.5% and 58.9% respectively,hig her than that of the group of Sj26 gene transfered DC(34.5% and 48.5%)and Sj23 gene tr ansfered DC(32.6% and 40.6%),also significantly higher than that of group of plasmid pcDNA3 transfered DC(16.8% and 15.8%)and untreated DC(14.6% and 14.4%).There was significant difference of egg reduction rate between group of Sj26 tr ansfered DC and gr oup of Sj23 transfered DC.Conclusion The results indicate that Sj26 gene transfered DC can induce and enhance protective immunity against the infection of Schistosoma japonicum.

Objective To explore the effect of 4 hours cold ischemic injury on allograft arteriosclerosis by means of the rat abdominal aort ic allograft model.Methods Inbred male Wistar rats served as donors and Sprague dawley(SD)male rats as recipients.They were divided into groups of immune tolerance,immune tolerance with cold ischemia,isograft with cold ischemia.The isograft abdominal aortic allograft model was setup.The specimens were treated first and the M asso n staining was then taken to obser ve fibrosclerosis degree and morphology and distribution of smooth muscle cells(VSMC)in the vessels.Immunohistochemistry was used to compare of A-actin,PCNA,CDKI,and CyclinB1 expression in proliferating VSMC of intima and adventitia during different times postoperatively.Results Both cold ischemic groups showed significantly intimal hyperplysia appearing mainly in VSM C,proliferation and fibrosclerosis in intima and adventitia.The A-actin,PCNA,CDK1 and CyclinB1 expressed highly in proliferative VSMC and the expressions remarkedly increased with the times and allograftarter iosclero sisc progression.Conclusion Fourhours cold ischemic injury can lead to transplant arteriosclerosis.

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the role of 44/42 MAPK on the apoptosis of adrenocortical cells induced by cadmium chloride(CdCl2)in vitro.Methods The male guinea pigs' adrenocirtical cells were dispersed and primarily cultured for 24 hrs,and incubated with CdCl2 at doses of 0,12 15,25,50,100 or 200μmol/L for 1 h.Then the phosphorylation level of P44/42 and the protein expression level of c-Fos were measured with SDS-PA GE and Western-Blot.The cells were incubated with the same doses of CdCl2 for 2 h,then cell apoptosis rate was detected with flowcytometry.The phosphorylation level of P44/42 and the protein expression level of c-Fos were detected after the cells were treated with 100μmol/L CdCl2 for 0,15,30,60,90,120 minutes respectively after the treatment.The cell apoptosis was detected at 0,0.5,1,2,3 or 4 hours.Results The average percentage of apoptotic cells increased with dosage(0~200μmol/L for 1 h,from 1199% to 73.48%)or duration(100μmol/L for 0~4 h,from 1.04% to 71.55%)of CdCl2.At dosage of 0~200μmol/L,CdCl2 could remarkably increase the phosphorylation level of P44(from 100% to 418%),the phosphorylation level of P42(1.1 times to 2.3 times),and the expression level of c-Fos(1.6 times,2.2 times,2.4 times,3.3 times or 2.8 times).100μmol/L CdCl2 could remarkably increase the phosphorylation level of P44(1.5 times to 6.3 times),the phosphorylation level of P42(1.1~2.1 times),and the expression level of c-Fos(from 2.6 times to 4.1 times)when the cells were cultured with CdCl2 for 0~2 hours.Conclusion CdCl2 could induce apoptosis of adrenocortical cells through the over-phosphorylated P44/42 and in turn the over-expression of c-Fos.

Objective To study the effect of different levels of calorie restriction on blood glucose and lipids in rats.Methods Thirty-six male rats housed individualy were randomly divided into ad libitum group,calorie restriction group 1 and calorie restriction group 2.One group were fed with basic diet and the other two with 80% and 60% energy of AL-fedgroup respectively for 12 weeks,then changes of weight,blood glucose and lipids were tested.Results The body weight,visceral fat accumulation,body fat percent,level of HDL-C and T Gof calorie restriction group were significantly differenct from that of ad libitum group except for blood glucose.The level of TC in calorie restriction group 2 was not significantly higher than that of control group until the end of the test.Conclusion Calorie restriction can enhance the level of HDL-C,decrease TG and have no significant effect on the blood glucose.The level of TC is increased when the rats have less calorie intake at some point.

Abstract:
Objective To study the effect of vitamin A(VA)deficiency on nutrit ional status of iron and on mRN A expression of transferrin receptor(TfR)in the liver in rat.Methods Fifty-two male SD rats were divided randomly into four groups according to their body weights and each group included 13 rats.The four groups were normal iron and VA control group,normal iron and severe VA deficient group,normaliron and mild VA deficient group,mildiron and VA deficient group.After raised foreight weeks,the rats were executed and the serum VA,hemoglobin,serum iron,serum transferrin receptor,ser urm ferritin,iron in the liver and spleen were determined.The ex pression of transferr in receptor(T fR)mRNA was examined by reverse transcr iption polymerase chain reaction method(RT-PCR).Results Compared with the control group,VA deficiency groups had a significant decrease in serumiron and serum ferritin(P<0.05),and a significant increase in serum transferrin receptor and iron in the spleen(P<0.05).The high expression level of transferrin receptor mRNA was observed in the liver when VA was deficient.Conclusion VA deficiency may affect absorption,storage and transportation of iron and may enhance the expression level of transferrin receptor mRNA in the liver by IRE-ⅠRP.

Objective To investigate the expression of HSP 70 mRN A in hippocampus and cortex after cerebral ischemia and reperfusion in rats,and to explore regulative effect and mechanism of basic fibroblast growth factor(bF GF)on HSP70 mR NA in braintissue.Methods The model of middle cerebralartery occlusion was performed with intraluminal filament blockade.The expression of HSP70 mRNA and cell apoptosis in hippocampus and cortex was detected with RT-PCR method and TU NEL method.Results The expression of HSPT 0mRN A in hippocampus and cortex was increased after cerebral ischemia and reperfusion.The expression of HSP70 mRNA in bF GF group was increased,but cell apoptosis was decreased.Conclusion The results indicate that bFGF depress cell apoptosis and participate in the regulation of expression of HSP70 mRNA in ischemic neurons.

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effects of lead exposure on nitrerg ic neurons of ileum in growing rats in order to provide exper imental ev idences for revealing the poison mechanism of angina abdominalis in lead poisoning.Methods 75 male six-week old r ats were randomly divided into five groups.There were 15 rats in each group.The rats of fourexper mental groups were poisoned by intragastr ic administr at ion with 15,30,45,90 mg/kg lead acetate once a day.The control group rats were intragastricly administered with equal volume double distilled water once a day.Furthermore,rats in each group were stochastically divided into three subg roups,and the subgroups were marked with numbers in turn.On the ten th、30th、90th day o f the ex periment,lead concentration of blood was assay ed for the rats in homolgous subgr oups.The B-nicotinamide-adenine dinucleotide phosphate(B-NA DPH)histochemical method was used to study nitrergic neurons of ileum.Results With ex tension of lead exposure and the increase of lead dosage,the lead concentration in blood of growing rat increased gradually.However,the number and activity of ileum nitric oxide synthaes(NOS)positive neurons decreased gradually.There were negative correlation between blood lead concentr ation and the number of NOS positive neurons and positve correlation between blood lead concentration and the average value of gray scale of NOS positive neurons.Conclusion The activity of NOS of nitrergic neurons and the number of nitrergic neurons in ileum decrease with lead ex posure and the decrease is influenced by the dosage and time effect of lead exposure.

Objective To investigate the genotypes prevalence of extended spectrum B-lactamases(ESBLs)and aminog lycoside modifying enzymes(AM Es)in ESBLs producing Escherichia coli clinical strains.Methods Kirby-Baucer method was performed to test the antibiotics susceptibility of 49 ESBLs pro ducing Escher ichia coli strains.Genot ypes of ESBLs and AMEs were analyzed by PCR method.Results The 49 clinical strains were all multiple resistant.The resistance rate to ampicillin,cefazolin,cefoper azone and ceftriaxone was more than 90%.The resistance rates to gentamicin and tobramycin were 67.3% and 65.3% respectively.The resistance rate to meropenem was the lowest,only 2.0%.The positive rate of ESBLs g enes of blaTEM,blaSHV,blaCTX-M-1 and blaCTX-M-9 was 9319%,2.2%,2215% and 59.2%,respectively.The positive rate of AMEs genes of aac(3)-Ⅱ,aac(6c)-Ⅰ and ant(3d)-Ⅰ was 61.2%,30.6% and 18.4%,respectively.Conclusion Multiple resistance of ESBLs producing Escher ichia coli clinical strains was serious.Different genotypes of ESBLs and AM Es were of ten coexistent in the same strain and the most popular coexist ence way was blaT EM,blaCT X-M-9 and aac(3)-Ⅱ.

Objective To understand the awareness,knowledge on HIV/A IDS and mental health status among CSWs in Jiaozhou city.Methods Face-to-face questionnaire survey was conducted among commercial sexual workers(CSWs)recruited in a health center.Results Among 291 CSWs at age of 17~25,66.5% were collected athotels and Karaoke facilities.Most of the subjects were migrants and graduates of from junior middle school.Most of the subjects kenwthe routes of transmission,non-transmission and preventive methods of HIV/AIDS,but a fewof took measures.The subjects had discrimination and fear to A IDS patients.97.1% of subjects had STD related symptoms and most of them could not get normative treatment.Mental health survey showed that their scores were higher than that of normal,expect for relationship score.Conclusion CSWs in Jiaozhou city were athigh risk of STD/AIDS infection and A IDS knowledge education and behavior intervention should be conducted.

Objective To analyze the demand of home care service and its main influential factors in community residents.Methods 1000 families in three districts of Handan city were selected for the questionnaire survey by random stratified cluster.Chi-square test and logistic regression were involved in the analysis.Results The community residents needed several terms of service such as life nursing,cure and health promotion,psychological nursing and rehabilitation nuring.Family circle,with or without chronic disease patient at home and distance from the hospital were the positive factors of the demand of home care service(P<0.05).Education and income were the negative factors(P>0.05).Conclusion Home care service is an important part of the development of community nursing in the future.

Objective To describe the status of sexual behaviors and its influencing factors among college students in Nanjing,and to provide scientific reference for carrying out A IDS and sex health education.Methods A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted among 3238 students chosen from five universities in Nanjing by cluster multistage sampling.Face to face interviewwas done in 90 students for qualitative analysis.Results 10.7% of students had sex experiences.70.0% of sexually active students did not use condom every time and 3314% had more than one sexual partner.13.5% of sexually active students or their partner had the experience of abortion.Logistic regression analysis showed that the sexual behaviors positively correlated with the urban students,senior class,art college students,logging in sexy website and approving of premarital sex(P<0.01).The qualitative results showed that though the cognition of premarital sexual behavior presented diversified trend,fewstudents recognized the relationship between the premarital sexual behavior and the health problem.Conclusion It is important to provide college students with AIDS and sex health education and behavior intervention.

Objective To explore the anti-oxidization effects of sodium selenite,vitamin E and C after X-ray radiation.Methods Different dosages of sodium selenite,vitamin E and C were added into cell culture after irradiation to observe changes in DAN damage and synergistic effects between the both or three antioxidants by means of comet assay.Results Sodium selentie,vitamin E and C can decrease cell DNA damage(P<0.001).Synergistic effect existed between sodium selenite and vitamin C(P<0.05).Conclusion Sodium selenite,vitamin E,vitamin C can antagonize radiation DNA damage effectively,and the effect increases with the dose of the antioxidant.Synergistic effect exists between sodium selenite and vitamin C in antagonizing radiation DNA damage.

Objective To understand the emergency response capability of health institutions and analyse the influencing factors in Heilongjiang province,north2east of China.Methods A stratified and cluster sampling survey was conducted among 119 officers in 13 differenthealth institutions at 5 cities and 8 counties with the interviewing of key related persons.Results The emergency information monitoring and reporting system was established.Over 85% of the respondents believed the emergency management system was basic completeness,and more than 90% of respondents thought they had built emergency response command system.Influencing factor analysis pointed out 5 factors.Conclusion The emergency response system was established primarily and the main influencing factors were the policy and regulation,financing,emergency response office,and training.

Abstract:
Objective To observe the effects of L-Carnitine(L-CN)on FP G and FFA in diabetes mellitus(MD) rats.Methods Thirty-six adult Wistar rats were divided into three groups by randomized blocks design.The DM group and L-CN group were given intraperitoneal injection STZ(65 mg/kg·bw),and the FP G was measured after seventy-two hours.The L-CN group was given intraperitoneal injection L-CN(250 mg/kg·bw)meanwhile,the others were given intraperitoneal injection sterile water as control.During six weeks observation schedule,FP G,BW and FFA were measured regularly.Results The achievement ratio of DM model by intraperitoneal injection STZ was 91.7%.After six weeks,the FFA between three groups showed statistical difference(P<0.001),and the FP G did not showstatistical difference(P>0.05).Conclusion The achievement ratio of DM model by intraperitoneal injection STZ was high and stable.The L-CN could decrease FFA,as well as BW,but could not effect FP G.

Abstract:
Objective To knowthe physical and mental health status and its affecting factors among the residents of Weihai city.Methods The sample was randomly chosen by using cluster-based sampling method and the subjects interviewed with both sef-made questionnaire and the selected scale of world health survey(WHS).SPSS 1310 software was used to analyze the field data.Results 11698 individuals were interviewed.70.2% of the subjects had a good orexcellent self-reported physical and mental health,and 3616% had no good self-reported health.The average total score of WHS was(8.32±2.58).The risk factors of the selected scale of WHS high scoring of the residents were female,bereft of one's spouse,loweducation level,being ill within 2 weeks,with chronic disease within 6 months,misty character,no bosom friend,feeling monotonaous,negative and pressure of life,thinking of suicide in the past 1 year,with big frustrate or misfortune in the past 2 years and insomnia.Conclusion The affecting factors of the residents'self-reported physical and mental condition are general factors(such as gender,age),actual physical condition,factors related to mentality and hurt,and sleeping condition.There is more than 1/3 of the residents without good physical and mental health.

Abstract:
Objective To learn health knowledge level and health behavior among residents after the implement of the /Health Promotion of Healthy Cities Road0 in Suzhou city and to provide evidence for developing health education scientificly and effectively.Methods 3944 persons were selected by systematic sampling in 3 districts.An uniform questio nnaire was used 2 times in Oct,2006 and Sep,2007 respectively and 809 perso ns were selected by the same medthod.Results After health promotion,the residents.health knowledge level and health behavio r showed differences significantly in four respects such as the intake of salt and oil between year of 2006 and 2007(P<01 05).Conclusion The development of the/health promotion0 is effective to improve residents.health knowledge and promote their health behavior.

Abstract:
Objective To understand the outbreak,death trend of reportable infectious disease in Guangxi.Methods Registration data of legal infectious disease in Guangxi from 1950 to 2007 was used to study the occurrence and death of infectious disease and describe outbreak level,death level and change trend.Results From 1950 to 2007,the morbidity and mortality of infectious disease was decreased.The morbidity of infectious disease was the highest in the early 1970s with the average morbidity of 5285.03/100 000.The morbidity was the lowest in the late 1990s with the average morbidity of 196169/100,000.The mortality was the highest in the late 1960s with a mortality of 39166/100 000 in 1967.The mortality was the lowest in the late 1990s with a mortality of 0.62/100 000 in 1998.Conclusion There was an obvious change on the morbidity and mortality of infectious disease in Guangxi from 1950 to 2007.

Abstract:
Objective To explore non-biologic risk factors of lowbirth weight and the evidence for intervention to decrease the incidence of lowbirth weight(LBW).Methods A case-control study with 896 pregnant women was conducted in Fujian pro vincial maternity and children's hospital from Sept.2004 to June 2006 using simple and multivariate logistic reg ression models.Results The determinants of LBW included loweducation,lowincome,unstable occupation,husbands.smoking and drinking,less health education of pregnant women,husbands.anxiety,less and late examination of pre-pregnancy.While the husbands' watching TV at home was a protecting factor.Conclusion Improving the situation of economy and health education,good behavior of pregnant women and their husbands can decrease the risk of LBW.

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the effect of different cocentr atio ns of calcium on the combining capacity of bile acid.Methods Different concentrations of calcium hydrogen phosphate solution were prepared and adjusted to pH=7.0.Then bile acid mixture chylomicron was added to the solutions dig ested at 37℃ in vitro.The contents of bile acid were measured in the supernatant and the sediment of different concentrations of calcium solut ion.Results Bile acid content was(2.72±0.27),(1.48±0.07),(0.64±0.04),(0.63±0.07),(0.76±0.09)Lmol in supernatant and(1.45±0.09),(2.56±0.18),(3.36±0.19),(3.21±0.28),(3.24±0.25)Lmol in sediment of the 5,10,20,40,80mmol/L digested calcium solution,respectively.Compared with other concentrations of calcium solution,bile acid contents in the supernatant and the sediment of the 5 and 10mmol/L digested calcium solution were different statist ically(P<0.05).The bile acid recoveries of dig ested solution from different calcium concetration were 95.98%~112.82%.The bile acid recovery of 40mmol/L calcium solution was lower than that of 5,10,20mmol/L calcium solution statistically(P<0.05).Conclusion Calcium with phosphorus forms sediment can combine with bile acid at the pH and the temperature similar to that of in human small intestine,and the combining capacity is the highest at calcium concentration of 20mmol/L.

Abstract:
Objective T o understand the positive r ate and epidemiolog ic character of human immunodeficiency virus antibody type-1 and type-2(anti-HIV 1/2)in patients before endoscope check.Methods To screen the human immunodeficiency vir us(HIV)infection and acquired immune deficiency syndro me(A IDS)patients in 23.82 ex aminees before endoscope check.The anti-HIV1/2 collo idal selenium quick test was adopted first and then the ant i-HI V1/2 enzyme immunoassays was used in the suspects.The doubtful positive results were sent to affirming laboratory for HIV infection ascertainment.The ag e,sex,infection route,diagnosis section and initial diso rder of anti-H IV1/2 positive patients were analysed.Results There were 35 cases of anti-HIV1/2 positive patients with the positive rate of 0.15% in the subjects.The male/female ratio was 3:2 for the positive at ages of 20~40.A mong the HIV/HBsA g double positive subjects,the rate of HIV/HCV double positive,HIV/HBsAg/HCV positive was 14.3% (5 cases),1711% (6 cases)and 219% (1case),respectively.74.3% of the 35 HIV infections was via blood transmission and 57.2% was farmers.The most of the subjects accepted the gastroscop,eintestine scope(34.2%)and bronchoscope(31.4%)examination because of digestive tract or lung epiphyte infectio n.Conclusion The anti-HIV ex amination is helpful to find HIV infections in time.A nd it could avoid to spread the HIV in endoscope check.

Abstract:
Objective To explore the prevalence and risk factors of diabetes mellitus(DM)in rural residents.Methods Participants≥18 years old were selected random from two villages in Henan province.A cross2sectional study was performed.Logistic regression was used to evaluate the risk factors of DM.Results The prevalence of DM among 989 subjects was 11.22%.The age2adjusted prevalence was 6.72%.There was no significant statistical difference between men and women for prevalence of DM.The prevalence of DM increased significantly with age.The prevalence of participants with highereducation level was higher than that of those with lowereducation level.The prevalence of DM increased significantly with age and income level.After adjusted for age,sex,marriage,education and income status,the central obesity(OR=2.066,95% CI=1.298~3.289),family history of DM(OR=2.981,95% CI=1.687~5.266)and LDL2C≥3.37(OR=1.601,95% CI=1.019~2.518)were significant positively associated with DM.Conclusion The prevalence of DM in rural residents was high.

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the quantities of medical waste produced by healthcare facilities in Hangzhou,figure out the coefficient of medical waste,and provide a basis for the medical waste mang ement.Methods Questionnaires were provided to healthcare facilities in Hang zhou to investigate basic data and sickbed utilization rates.All medical waste waste produced in the healthcare facilities was weighed,and coefficients of medical waste were worked out as kg/bed/day(10 persons).Results 305 healthcare facilities were investigated from January 1,2005 to Deccmber 13,2007.The results showd that coefficients of medical waste were form 0.5 kg/bed/day to 2.2 kg/bed/day and the average was(1.26±0.52)kg/bed/day for the 91 hospitals abo ve count y or district level.The average coefficient for 199 dental surgeon,village and towns cliniscs wtihout inpatient ward was(1.26±0.51)kg/10 persons,and(5.77±4.50)kg/day for 15 CDCs.Conclusion Results of the inv est igation showed that the coefficients of medical waste for healthcare facilities at Hangzhou in 2005 were similar to that of the developed conutries published by WHO in 1999,lower than that of Shanghai and Wuhan,and one time higher than that of the city in 2001.
