Abstract:
Objective To understand the current situation of AIDS knowledge, attitude and behavior among mobile population in Comprehensive AIDS Response(CARES)project areas, and to probe into the effective intervention strategies.
Methods Cluster sampling was collected from different mobile population which included construction works, hotel or restaurant attendants, workers that employed in haircut and cosmetic services.They were surveyed with the self-designe questionnaires, including the knowledge, attitude, and behavior questions of AIDS.
Results As a whole, the mobile population had poor AIDS prevention knowledge.Most of them lacked of protective abilities and consciousness on AIDS pr evention.The attitude towards people with HIV/AIDS was negative.But great numbers of them would like to accept AIDS education.
Conclusion The mobile people are special population groups.AID Shealth education is urently needed for them.Integrative AIDS education must be intensified.
