Abstract:
Objective To discuss the risk factors of primary close-angle glaucoma (PACG).
Methods 192 cases of PACG patients and 192 cases of non-glaucoma controls were investigated with 1:1 matched caes-control study.
Results Simple factor analysis showed that the risk factors of PACG were related to habitation, education, family income, myopia, hyperopia, the distance of watching TV, watching TV with the light on, type of lights and hypertension. Multilogistic regression analysis onfirmed that PACG was related to habitation, hypertension and hyperopia.The results didnot support that occupation, smoking, drinking, blood type and diabetes were related with PACG.
Conclusion In order to decrease the incidence of PACG, the measures such as avoiding sunlight, preventing hypertension and follo wing up the population with hyperopia should be adopted.
