Abstract:
Objective To study the main problems of the community health service in Shenzhen and provide the scientific basis for strategy making.
Methods Both questionnaire and observation were adopted.
Results The main problems existing in Shenzhen community health services were as follows: (1)the structural incoordination of the community health human resources, eg the doctor nurse ratio 1:0175, and low quality concerning the total health workers; (2)insufficient on-post training of the community health workers; (3)the expensive rent of the service office.
Conclusion Following strategies were presented: (1)To make proper adjustment to the human resource structure of Shenzhen community health service; (2)To improve the community health service facilities along with the community development; (3)To create a training department for general medicine education under Shenzhen Medical Training Center, providing more chances to the community health workers for on-post training.
