Abstract:
Objective To study the lipid perox idation on developmental central nervous system.
Methods LPO level, the GSH content, and the activity of SOD, CAT, GSH-PX in the brain of rat offsprings exposed to lead during pregnant and breast-feed period were determined.
Results The LPO level in middle and high lead-exposed groups increased and the SOD activity decreased compared with the control, the activity of CAT in high lead-exposed group decreased.
Conclusion Lead ex erted developmental neurotoxicity through lipid peroxidation.
