Abstract: The purpost of this report is to observe the immune effects of inactivated mongolian gerbils kidney (type I) and hamster Kidney (type II) Culture vaccine.Choosing two fields in both reagions of apodemus type and domestic rat type using Chester sampling method setting up a group of inoculation and a group of control in each reagion to study the safety of the vaccines and antibody titers as well as practical effects of Prevention for the diseast.Result Mongolian gerbils vaccine:the rate of moderted and sveres side effects are 2.13% (51/356) the ositive rate of IFA is 100% (after basic immuniztion) 54.16% (one year before reimmunization).100% (two weaks after reimmunization) 77.4%,(the third year) 72.00%(the fouth year) The positive rate of neutralizing antibody is 70.37%、0、73.33%、32.30%、32.0%.respectively (time as above) the protective rate of whole inoculation (four times) 100% (one person got the disease in the group of inoculation 53 persons got the disease in the gorup of control).Hanster vaccine:the rate of moderate and severe side effcets are 3.97% (51/1284) the positive rate of IFA is 100%,36.36%,100%,77.10%,80%.resp-ectively (time as above).The positive rate-of.neutralizing.Antibldy is 50.00 17.65%,100%,51.40%、44.00%.The protective rate of whole inoculation^o^ times)is 100%(on one got the disease in the group of inoculation 97 persons got the disease in the group of control) Conclusion Through four years observagtion for the two kinds of vaccines we think the vaccines are safe and effective no intensified response is found.The hamster vaccine has more significance in practical effect of prevertion for the disease.
