Abstract: ObjectiveTo analyze the requirement and utilization of sex abuse consultation among unmarried youth in China and to explore the obstacles for the utilization of sex abuse consultation.MethodsThe data from the first countrylevel unmarried youth sexual and reproductive health survey were used.Binary logistic model was used to analyze the diversities.ResultsThe rate for the consultation requirement was 2.1%,thereinto the usage rate was only 32.3%.The rates of consultation requirement were significantly higher in the youth living in western,studying in school,having higher education level,with lower family income,being one child,and having girl/boy fiends.The consultation usage rate was significantly higher in the youth at young age and with high education level.The main obstacles preventing the youth taking sex abuse consulation included embarrassment(23.82%),being unware of the way from whom to get the consulattion(20.78%), without serious sex abuse(14.32%),and no service facility nearby(12.43%).ConclusionThere is a great requirement for sex abuse consultation among unmarried youth in China,especially among those in western area and with low income. Education is a protection factor for the utilization of sex abuse consultation.
