中学班主任职业压力、社会支持与离职意向关系

Relationships between occupational stress, social support and quit intention among head teachers of middle school

  • 摘要: 目的探讨中学班主任职业压力、社会支持和离职意向三者之间的关系。方法使用教师职业压力问卷、社会支持问卷(SSRS)和自编问卷对408名中学教师进行测试。结果中学班主任的职业压力总均分为(3.17±0.68)分,明显高于非班主任(2.98±0.74)分(P<0.05);在离职意向上,中学班主任与非班主任在人数分布差异有统计学意义(χ2=14.49,P<0.01),前者比例高出9.2%;职业压力、社会支持和离职意向之间存在明显相关(P<0.01);社会支持在中学班主任的职业压力与离职意向之间起中介作用。结论良好的社会支持系统有助于中学班主任职业压力的缓解和班主任队伍的稳定。

     

    Abstract: ObjectiveTo study the relationships between occupational stress,social support and quit intention among head teachers in middle school.MethodsOccupational Stress Questionnaire for Teacher,Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS)and a self-designed questionnaire were used to survey 408 teachers from 10 middle schools in Xiamen and Xi'an city.ResultsThe results showed that the total occupational stress scoce of the head teachers(3.17±0.68)was higher significantly than that of non-head teachers(2.98±0.74)(P<0.05).Chi-square test showed that the head teachers had a 9.2% higher percentage of quit intention than that of non-head teachers(χ2=14.49,P<0.01).There were significant relations between occupational stress,social support and quit intention(P<0.01).Social support played a mediating role between occupational stress and quit intention in the head teachers.ConclusionThe results indicate that good social support for an individual is benefitial to decrease occupational stress of head teachers in middle school.
