Abstract: Influenza virus infection can lead to the deterioration of chronic heart failure (CHF) patients and the disease burden is significantly higher than that of the general population. Influenza vaccination can reduce the risk of hospitalization and death of CHF patients and improve the prognosis of the disease. This article reviews the effects of influenza virus infection on the progression of CHF, the effects of influenza vaccination on the progression and outcome of CHF patients, and their pathophysiological mechanisms. The aim of the study is to further improve the awareness of the public and health care personnel in China on the vaccination of CHF patients, and to provide references for future researches on the vaccination of CHF patients.
