Abstract: We reviewed literatures and reports published recently on status quo and standardization of cleaning and disinfection of public textiles in China. Based on surveys reviewed, great improvements have been achieved in sanitation status of textiles used in various public places but there were still some problems and there are potential risks for unqualified cleaning and disinfection of the textiles resulted from low requirement and imperfect management on enterprises engaged in the cleaning and disinfection of the public textiles. Establishments of laws and regulations on sanitation of public textiles in China were also summarized. Some recommendations for the future research were made in addition.
