呼出气挥发性有机物传感器在疾病诊断中的研究进展

Progress in researches on application of exhaled volatile organic compound sensors in disease diagnosis

  • 摘要: 人体呼出气挥发性有机物(volatile organic compounds,VOCs)分析在疾病初筛和早期识别中的应用愈发受到关注。目前,呼出气VOCs的检测方法主要有质谱、色谱等较大型分析仪器和气体传感器两种。与大型仪器相比,气体传感器体积小,成本低、操作简单,在大规模人群呼出气VOCs的检测中有良好的应用前景。本文总结了研究中重点关注的呼出气VOCs传感器的原理、性能、特征和改进方向,以及传感器阵列和电子鼻技术在呼出气VOCs疾病诊断中的应用,探讨了呼出气VOCs传感器在进行疾病识别研究中面临的主要问题和发展方向,旨在为进一步研究提供参考。

     

    Abstract: Analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in human exhaled breath is showing great potential for its application in the initial screening and recognition of some diseases. Methods used for exhaled VOCs analysis involve generally analytical instruments such as mass spectrometer and chromatograph, and gas sensors. Compared with analytical instruments, the gas sensor is small, cheap, and can be operated simply, which is very suitable to be applied in exhaled VOCs detection for disease diagnosis of large sample size. This review summarizes the principle, performance, characteristics and improvement of the exhaled VOCs sensors, the technology of sensor array and electronic nose and its application in disease recognition, and discusses the prospects and challenges of exhaled VOCs sensors in VOCs detection and disease diagnosis, hoping to bring insight to further studies.
