Abstract: In March 2018, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) published an operational tool on rapid risk assessment methodology on its website and the expected primary users of the tool are the experts responsible for rapid assessment of communicable disease threats in countries of European Union. The tool may also serve as a useful reference for experts with similar responsibilities in other countries and regions. This study gives a brief introduction to this tool and provides a reference for public health workers in China.
