广东地区供精者精液冷冻复苏率季节变化分析

Seasonal variation in progressive motility recovery rate of frozen spermatozoa from semen donors in Guangdong province

      目的  分析广东地区季节性变化对供精者精液冷冻复苏率的影响,为精液冷冻的最佳季节提供参考依据。
      方法  对2016年1月 — 2018年12月期间10 919份广东精子库供精志愿者精液的冷冻前后参数和前向运动精子冷冻复苏率进行回顾性分析。
      结果  广东地区供精志愿者精液的前向运动精子冷冻复苏率存在季节性差异,秋季(72.16 ± 14.24) %与冬季(72.43 ± 13.76) %均显著高于春季(70.46 ± 14.03) %和夏季(70.72 ± 14.55) %,差异有统计学意义(P < 0.05),春季和夏季比较差异无统计学意义(P > 0.05)。此外,供精志愿者夏季的冷冻前和复苏后PR级精子百分率(54.95 ± 8.38) %和(38.76 ± 9.41) %、冷冻复苏后PR级精子数量(25.18 ± 11.74)/mL均最低,显著低于冬春季(P < 0.05)。
      结论  季节因素的变化对广东地区供精者精液前向运动精子冷冻复苏率和复苏后前向运动精子总数均有影响,建议避免夏季进行精液冷冻保存,首选冬春季。

     

    Abstract:
      Objective  To examine seasonal variation in progressive motility recovery rate of frozen spermatozoa of semen samples from donors registered in Guangdong province and to provide evidences for determining the best season for semen cryopreservation.
      Methods  We extracted the data on semen parameters and progressive motility recovery rate of frozen spermatozoa before and after freezing for 10 919 semen samples collected from donors registered in Guangdong Province Sperm Bank between January 2016 and December 2018 and analyzed the data retrospectively.
      Results  There were seasonal disparities in the rate of progressive motility recovery of sperm for the semen samples. The progressive motility recovery rates (72.16 ± 14.24% and 72.43 ± 13.76%) were significantly higher for semen samples collected in autumn and winter than those (70.46 ± 14.03% and 70.72 ± 14.55%) for the samples collected in spring and summer (all P < 0.05), but there was no significant difference in the rate of the semen samples collected in spring and summer (P > 0.05); in addition, the percentages (54.95 ± 8.38% and 38.76 ± 9.41%) of sperms with progressive motility before and after freezing and the number (25.18 ± 11.74/mL) of sperms with progressive motility after cryopreservation for semen samples collected in summer were significantly lower than those for semen samples collected in winter and spring (all P < 0.05).
      Conclusion  Seasonal factors have effects on the progressive motility recovery rate of frozen spermatozoa and the number of sperms with progressive motility after cryopreservation for semen samples from donors in Guangdong province. The results suggest that semen sampling for sperm cryopreservation should be conducted in winter and spring season.
