Abstract: The Healthy China Strategy is a major decision and deployment made by the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The 'Healthy China 2030' Planning Outline and the 'Healthy China Action Plan' have been issued one after another, marking a full implementation stage for the construction of Healthy China. From the perspective of preventive medicine and public health, this study analyzes the challenges faced by the construction of a Healthy China. According to General Secretary Xi Jinping′s instructions on the four functional aspects (serving for scientific and technical workers, innovation-driven development, improvement of the public′s science literacy, and decision-making of government agencies) of Chinese science and technology organizations, the participation of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association in the construction of Healthy China was discussed and some suggestions for promoting the associations′ participation were put forward.
