Abstract: To study seroepidemiological aspect of varicella zoster virus(VZV)in healthy plpulation to provide scientific basis,for working out immunity tactics of varicella vaccine and controlling effectively varcella prevalence.1363 health persons of 0 to 63 years in Hang Zhou and Tai Zhou were studied of VZV antibody by ELISA in 1998.The seropsitive rate of VZV antibody was 58.47%.There were no significant differences in the prevalance of antibody between male and female,in different places and those in February,May,November.The positive rate for infant(3 months old)was 78.95%,children(3 months to 7 years old)17.83% and the positive rate for persons 8 to 12 years,13 to 20 years and more than 20 years were 63.45%,83.23%,and 92.55% respectively.The rate for the children of 3 years old is only 8.33%.Infant and beinglow school children in immunity level to VZV were the main immunifactioners of varicella vaccine.
