Abstract: Objective To study the relationship between anemia and total body fat,fat pattern in children.Methods Five hundred and forty-three children aged 7~10 years were investigated and weight、height、waist and hip、skinfolds and hemato globin were measured.Results Among different obeselevel groups,no significant difference was found for prevalence of anemia and mean hematoglobin.Obese group's MBI、F%、LBM、 TPR、SUM were significantly higher than non-obese group,but no significant difference was found for mean hematoglobin between these two groups.In the non-obese group,central fat distribution group's F% and TPR is significantly higher than noncentral fat distribution group's(P<0.01),but no significant difference was found for mean hematoglobin.
