Abstract:
Objective To study the renovating effect of zinc-metallothionein to cadmium-induced oxidative in liver and kidney.
Methods Kunming mice were acted as tested objects to establish the cadmium-poisoning laboratory animal models, then animals were treated with zinc-metallothionein(Zn-MT).Following indexes were assayed, including the contents of malony diadehyde(MDA),the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD)and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)in liver and kidney, observing the ultrastructure of liver and kidney under transmission electron microscope.
Results The contents of DMA in liver and kidney of animals which administrated with Zn-MT decreased and the suppressed activities of antioxidase(SOD、GSH-Px)renovated.The pathomorphologic damages of liver and kidney induced by cadmium were renovated to some extent after administrated with Zn-MT.
Conclusion Zn-MThad renovating effect on cadmium-induced oxidative damage in liver and kidney.
