Abstract:
Objective To study expression of O6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase(MGMT)and its clinicopatho-logical significance in ovarian cancer.
Methods Immunohistochemical method of SPwas used to determine the expression of MGMT in ov arian cancers.
Results Expression of MGMT was found in 46.7% of ovarian cancertissues, while 100% normal paired tissues had MGM Texpression(P < 0.05).There were no statistic difference expression of MGMT between the subtypes and stages of ovarian cancers(P > 0.05).MGMT was more related to the high grades of the ovarian cancers.
Conclusion There were MGMT expressive deletion in various ovarian cancers, and this might be related to the carcinogenesis of the ovarian cancers.
