Objective   To reveal the influence of socioecono mic factors on fire injur y and to provide scientific evidences for preventing and controlling fire injury.

  Methods   The relationship of fire injury with socioecono mic factors was analyzed with Pearson correlation analysis, factor analysis and stepw ise reg ression analysis.

  Results   There was positive correlation between fire and socioeconomic factors.The influential factors on the frequency of fires included annual population in an area, the number of cities, the gross domestic products(GDP), the number of indiv iduals and private enteprises, the number of people in individuals and private enterprises and the household annual living expenditures.Fire situation was more seriously in developed areas with more population and cities.The primary determinants of fire injury were the number of indiv iduals and private enterprises and the number of people in individuals and private enter prises.

  Conclusion   The fire situation was more seriously along with the development of economy.The individuals and private enterprises and people in individuals and private enterprises were important risk factors.The fire injury could be reduced through ptomoting fire control safety of people.
