Abstract: Objective To investig ate the infection rate of Helicobacter pylori(Hp)among old people and a few families in Guiy ang city and the affecting factors.Methods 1172 old people and a few families were chosen as investigated subjects.An unified questionnaire survey was conducted among them and venous blood was taken and analyzed with unified special kits.Data were analyzed with multiple factors logistic regression models and exact probabilities.Results The infection rate of Hp of 1.172 old people was 66.55%;The positive rate of anti-Hp-IgG in spouses of HP-positive old people was obviously higher than that in spouses of HP-neg ative old people(P<0.01).Conclusion The infect ion rate of Hp among old people in Guiy ang city is relatively high.A ttention should be paid.The effective ways to control the Hp infection include changing diet habit and improving economic status and hygiene conditions of local people.
