Abstract:
Objective To study the inhibitory roles of vitamin E(VE)on cell proliferation and ex tracellular matrix (ECM)synthesis of hepatic stellate cells(HSC)injured by Carbon Tetrachloride(CCl4)in vitro.
Methods Rat HSC were isolated and cultured.
Results Addition of CC1
4 to HSC pretreated with 200 nmol/L VE4 hours,the incorpo ration of
3H-thymidine and
3H-proline and the secretion of precollag entype Ⅲ,hyaluronic acid, laminin and fibronectin as well as production of malodialdehyde(MDA)were obviously inhibited. The analysis of correlation indicated that the effects of VE on inhibition of ECM secretion depended on lowering the production of MDA.
Conclusion VE can inhibit the cell proliferation and secretion of ECM in rat's HSC injured by CC1
4 in vitro.
