Abstract: ObjectiveTo study the somatic features and somatotypes in male youth from different minorities in China.MethodsBased on the data of the third national recruit youth physique survey,physique data of Hui,Mongolian,Zhuang, Tiebt,Man,and Tujia 6 ethnic minorities male youth aged 18～20 were analyaed.ResultsThere were signficant difference in the indexes and different somatotype detecting rate among different ethnic minorities(P<0.05).The height of Hui,Mongolian and Man male youth were higher than that of Zhuang,Tibet and Tujia.Zhuang male youth's truck were shorter than that of other ethnic.Zhuang male youth had broader shoulder,but Tibet male youth's shoulder were narrower.The detecting rate of narrow shoulder were high among 6 ethnic,but Tibet's was the highest.Gangling type was the most among Tibet male youth,the dominate type for other ethnic were gangling type and medium.ConclusionsThere are different characteristics in their physical constitution and developmental features of the youth from the 6 ethnic minorities,which can be helpful for providing basic data and reference for sportsmen choice,anthropology and forensic medicine.
