Abstract: Objective To understand the outbreak,death trend of reportable infectious disease in Guangxi.Methods Registration data of legal infectious disease in Guangxi from 1950 to 2007 was used to study the occurrence and death of infectious disease and describe outbreak level,death level and change trend.Results From 1950 to 2007,the morbidity and mortality of infectious disease was decreased.The morbidity of infectious disease was the highest in the early 1970s with the average morbidity of 5285.03/100 000.The morbidity was the lowest in the late 1990s with the average morbidity of 196169/100,000.The mortality was the highest in the late 1960s with a mortality of 39166/100 000 in 1967.The mortality was the lowest in the late 1990s with a mortality of 0.62/100 000 in 1998.Conclusion There was an obvious change on the morbidity and mortality of infectious disease in Guangxi from 1950 to 2007.
