Abstract: Objective To study there lationship between marlital quality and pregnancy among women of childbearing age in rural area,to provide the basis for the corresponding in tervention strategies.Methods With multistage sampling,1380 women were random selected and surveyed by interviewers at the respondents'households.Results 1,220 valid questionnaires were collected with a response rate of 87.3%.The total number of pregnancy was 2 221.A bortion rate was 201percent including spontaneo us abortion rate of 7.3%.The body,anxie ty and depression symptoms of postpartum were negatively correlated with seven dimensions of marital quality(except for the role of equality)among women of childbearing age.Postpartumaction to see a doctor and the role of equality were positively correlated.Marital satisfaction and other five factors showed a positive relationship with live birth;while neg atively rela ed with the number of pregnant and the way to resolve conflicts,the role of equality.Stillbirth and marital satisfaction,spontaneous abortion and couples exchange,economic arrang ements,abortion and marital satisfaction,character compatibility,economic arrangements were negatively correlated.Conclusion Marital quality have a significant impact on the pregnancy,postpartum body,anxiety and depression symptoms among the rural women of childbea ringage.
