Abstract: Objective To study the requirements and influencing factors of disclosure strategy for patients with cancer for providing theoretical basis to the disclosure of cancer.Methods Three hundred and two patients with cancer were investigated with self-designed questionnaire.Results The results of Logistic analysis showed that the female,the married,the patients with outgoing personality and minding to talk about death were more likely to support family members joining disclosure process.The patients with previous hospitallization experience (OR=1.89,95% CI=1.24-5.89),and light self-rated condition consciousness (OR=1.89,95% CI=1.05-3.45) were more likely to approve timely truth-telling.The patients with higher education (OR=1.91,95% CI=1.20-3.06) were more likely to agree on doctor's direct informing.All the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion To establish disclosure strategy with humanity,it is necessary to take patients' background,personality,history of illness and attitude toward death into consideration.
