Abstract: Objective To find out the status of self-rated health of the crowds of different income in Sunan area of Jiangsu province.Methods Overall 1350 subjects with different income were surveyed with self-rated health measurement scale version 1.0 (SRHMS 1.0).Results Total scores of the SRHMS of people with different income were significantly different (P<0.01).The scores of the group with income of under 1000 yuan RMB was the lowest,and the group of 4000 Yuan and above was the highest.The significant differences were noted in total score of physical health subscale,psychosocial health subscale and social health subscale in groups with different income (P<0.01).The score of the group under 1000 Yuan was the lowest.But there was no significant difference in the score of physical health subscale among the groups of 1000-,2000-,3000-,4000- Yuan.The group of 4000 Yuan and above was the highest in the score of psychosocial health and social health.Conclusion The income of inhabitants is correlative to their self-rated health.The health status of low-income group is relatively worse than the others,and the general status of highest-income is the best except for the physical health.
