Abstract: Objective To evaluate the relationship between resistin gene-2420C >G polym prphisms and type 2 diabetes.Methods Through literature retrieval from Pub Med,CBM,CNKI,We ipuand Wanfang,the study results about the relationship between resistin gene-2420C >G polymorphisms and type 2 diabetes were collected to make meta-analysis.REV-MAN 4.2 was used to compute the value of total oddsratio(OR),and the effect of publication bias was evaluated with the mehtod of funnel plot and linear reg ression analysis.Results A total of nine papers concerning 4580 diabetics and 3659 controls were included in the meta-analysis.Heterogeneity analysis showed all of the I were less than 50%.There was no significant difference in the comparisons of resistin 2420 allele gene C vs G(OR=0.99,95%CI:0190-1108,P>0.05),soasin the different genotypes of CC vs CG(OR=1.04,95%CI:0194-1116,P>0.05)and CCV s GG(OR=0198,95%CI:0.84-1.15,P>0.05).Conclusion From the results of case-control studies,there is no enough evidence to proveresistin gene 2420C > G polymorphisms is associated with type 2 diabetes.
