Abstract: Objective To explore the trend of diabetes mortality among the residents of Fengxian district,Shanghai from 1991-2007.Methods Diabetes death data from death registration was collected and analy zed with linear regression equation.Results The diabete smortality rate of the residents in 2007 was 13.41/100 000,which was 3.2 times higher than that of in 1991.The diabete smortality of female residents was higher than that of mens.There was a 2.6 times increase in the proportional ratio of diabetes death among all cause of death.Conclusion The diabetes mortality of the residents in Feng xian increased significantly and prevention and control measures for diabetes should be strengthened.
