Abstract: Objective To unde rstand sexual health knowledge status and needs among unmarried migrant female workers in Dongguan city.Methods By stratified random cluster sampling method,2 346 female workers at the age of 18-35 years from 9 factories in Dongguan city were selected to answera self-designed questionnaire about the physiology,safety and contagious diseases of sexbehavior and the demands for health service.Results The sexual and reproductive health knowledge level of the female workers was not high.The correct answer rates for sexual and reproductive health knoledge were 37.1% and 53.2%.Only about a half of the subjects knew the knowledge of produce of menses,menstruation health care,pregnant,and the risk of induced abortion.The ratio of workers knew the safe time of physiology was 20.2% and the adaptive time of medical abortion was 7.5%.The knowleage rate of subjectsliving in local area short time and with education level under middle school was relatively low(P<0.01).69.4% of the unmarried migrant female workers hoped to get information and service on sexual and reproductive health.Conclusion The sexual knowledge scores of unmarried migrant female workers are low.There lated departments should pay more attention to sexual and reproductive health among unmarried migrant female workers and provide systemic sexual knowledge education and service for them.
