Abstract: Objective To find out the relationship between work stress and mental health among headm asters of primary and middle schools.Methods One hund red and ninety-five headm asters from primary and middle schools in Luanping county,Hebei provice were surveyed with SCL-90 and Scale For Work Stress.Results There was as ignificant positive correlation between mental health and works tress.The regression equation for the relationship between works tress and mental health was mental health=0.2393 self-condition+0.2603 interpersonal relationship+0.163^* work burden-0.1683^* student factor+0.135^* society factor.Conclusion The psychological health is negatively correlated with work stress and affected by factors including interp rsonal relationship,work burden,student,and social environment among headmasters of primary and middle schools.
