Abstract: ObjectiveTo estimate the prevalecne of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)and its risk factors among the people took physical examination and to provide scientific bases for clinical prevention and treatment of the disease.MethodsThe physical examination results of 810 people from Jan 2009 to Dec 2009 were collected and analyzed.ResultsThe total incidence rate of NAFLD was 17.5%.The incidence rate of the male(20.9%)was higher than that of the female(12.9%)(P<0.01).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that NAFLD was significantly related to body mass index,triglycerides,fasting blood glucose,diastolic blood pressure,age,alamine amiotransferase,eating habit,and exercise(P<0.05 for all).ConclusionNAFLD is prevalent in residents of Guangzhou city.Overweight or obesity,high trighyceride,fast blood glucose,diastolic blood pressure,alamine aminotransferase,aging,eating high fat food,and lack of exercise are the independent risk factros of NAFLD.
