Abstract: ObjectiveTo understand the status of diet therapy compliance and its influential factors among patients with diabetesme llitus for improving integrated control of diabetes mellitus.MethodsTotally 270 patients with diabetes mellitus were investigated with a self made questionnaire.ResultsAmong the patients,there were 24(8.89%)with good compliance of diet therapy,49(18.11%)with mode rate compliance,and 197(73.00%)with low compliance.There were 76(28.10%)patients with good knowledge about diet therapy for diabetes mellitus,102(37.83%)with moderate knowledge,and 92(34.07%)with little knowledge.Single factor analysis and multivariate logistic analysis showed that age,occupation,education level, and income were influential factors for compliance of diet therapy(P<0.05).ConclusionThe total level of diet therapy compliance was not well among patients with diabetes mellitus in the study and in fluced by many factors.An effective individual target education is needed.
