Abstract: Objective To explore the relationship between maternal education pattern and suicidal ideation among high school students.Methods Totally 847 high school students were investigated with a self-designed questionnaire and Egna Minnen Betrtaffande Uppfostranl(EMBU).Results The incidence rate of suicidal ideation among the students was 10.67%.The incidence in the girls was higher than that in the boys(χ²=9.58,P=0.002).The incidence of suicidal ideation of the students with self-injury behavior was higher than that of without self in jury behavior(χ²=39.12,P=0.000).The high school students with suicidal ideation experienced more over protection and rejection and overlook.Rejection and overollk of the mother(odds ratio=1.109) was a risk factor of suicidal ideation.Conclusion Incorrect maternal education pattern is a risk factor of suicide ideation for high school students.
