Evaluation on reliability and validity of Utrecht Work Engagement Scale(UWES-9), Chinese version among policemen

  • 摘要: 目的评价公安民警群体Utrecht-9工作投入量表(UWES-9)测评的信度、效度以及量表测评情况。方法采用分层随机抽样方法,抽取某公安局不同警种的公安民警780人,采用UWES-9量表进行问卷调查和测评。结果探索性因素分析提示工作投入的三因素模型,分别代表活力、奉献、专注;UWES-9量表的Cronbach's α系数为0.93,活力、奉献、专注量表的Cronbach's α系数分别为0.78、0.80和0.81;重测信度介于0.78~0.84,分半信度为0.92;量表有较好的结构效度和内容效度;活力、奉献、专注和工作投入得分分别为(3.01±1.81)、(3.46±1.76)、(2.82±1.53)和(3.10±1.70)分;活力、奉献、专注和工作投入男性警察均高于女性警察(P<0.01);民族在工作投入的3个维度上差异均无统计学意义;未婚警察的活力、奉献、专注和工作投入均高于已婚警察(P<0.01);警司活力、奉献、专注和工作投入总体得分均低于警员及警督,其中警司与警督得分差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论修订后的中文版UWES-9信度、效度较高,可为国内相关研究所采用;警察工作投入随着人口学特征不同而有差异。

     

    Abstract: Objective To introduce the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale(UWES-9) and to evaluate its reliability and validity among Chinese policemen.Methods Totally 780 policemen were sampled with randomly stratified cluster method.The participants were asked to fill out the scale.Results Exploratory factor analyses showed that the scale was composed of 3 factors of vigor,dedication,and absorption.The Cronbach α of UWES-9 was 0.93 and the Cronbach α for the 3 subscales were 0.78,0.80,and 0.81,respectively.Meanwhile,the test-retest reliability of the 3 subscales was between 0.78 and 0.84.The split-half coefficient was 0.92.The scale had good construct validity and content validity.The indexes for the three dimensions of work engagement vigor,dedication,absorption and the total score were 3.01±1.81,3.46±1.76,2.82±1.53,and 3.10±1.70,respectively.Male police showed significantly more vigor,dedication,absorption,and work engagement than the female police(P<0.01).No significant diffience in the three dimensions of work engagement was observed among policemen of different nationality.Unmarried policemen had higher scores than the married policemen in vigor,dedication,absorption,and work engagement(P<0.01).The vigor,dedication,absorption,and work engagement of the superintendents were lower than those of the supervisors(P<0.05).Conclusion The Chinese version of UWES-9 is reliable and valid for application in China.There is a difference in work engagement between the policemen with different demographic characteristics.
