Abstract: Objective To provide evidence for the promotion of rural appropriate health technologies and to analyze the influence factors for popularization and application of technologies among rural medical staff.Methods A total of 266 doctors selected with typical sampling from grassroots medical organizations or hospitals were interviewed personally with a designed questionnaire.Results The application of technologies among the medical staff was positively correlated with gender,the degree of familiarity to the technologies,and the years of medical work experience with the odds ratios of 3.11,0.19,and 1.09,respectively(P<0.05 for all).Conclusion The results suggest that the appropriate health technologies should be popularized according to the characteristics of grassroots medical staff and more attention should be paid on the familiarity to appropriate health technologies among the medical staff.
