Abstract:
Objective To investigate the status and distribution of food contamination of
Listeria monocytogenes(
Lm) in foods in Liaoning province and to provide evidences for the prevention and control of food
Lm contamination.
Methods All municipalities(14) of Liaoning province were included in the study.Six kinds of food samples were collected for isolation and identification of
Lm from 2010 to 2013.
Results Lm was isolated from 55 of the 4701 food samples, with an overall positive rate of 1.17%.The
Lm positive rates were 4.66% for uncooked meat,1.22% for cooked meat,1.05% for aquatic products,0.65% for quick-frozen rice and flour foods, and 0.91% for food samples served in catering facilities, respectively. The yearly
Lm positive rates were 1.38%,0.67%,1.44%,and 1.29%,respectively,from 2010 to 2013,with a stable variation.
Conclusion There was food contamination and higher detection rate of
Lm for uncooked and cooked meat and aquatic products in Liaoning province.
