Abstract:
Objective To estimate the prevalence of stress urinary incontinence(SUI)among Guangzhou women and to assess risk factors for SUI.
Methods Data were obtained by questionnaire survey from 634 women recruited by cluster sampling.
Results The crude prevalence of SUI was 34.5% and the adjusted prevalence was 28.09%.From univariate analyses, statistically significant risk factors for SUI included age, BM I, smoking, alcohol consumption, deliver, menopause, urinary and reproductive system infection, tumor and operating history, uterine prolapse, chronic tracheitis, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases et al.
Conclusion SUI is a common disease among Guangzhou women and it has relationship with some factors of demographic, deliver history and medical history.
