Effect of Liquefied Petroleum Gas on Neurobehavioral Function of Workers

  • To study the effects of iiquefied petroleum gas on neurobe-havioral functions of workers,50 workers exposured to liquefied petroleum gas were investigated with WHO recommended neurobehavioral core test battery, and compared with 50 nonexposured controls. Results show:fatigue-inertia scores in profile of mode states of workers exposured to liquefied petroleum gas was signiffcantly higher and vigor-activity score was significantly lower than those of controls(F=4.32,5.01,p<0.05).Santa anna manual dexterity test, digit symbal and correct aiming, all aiming of pursuit aiming in workers exposured to liquefied pet roleum gas were significantly lower than those of controns(F=4.19~5.52,p<0.05).Conclusion:changes of neurobehavioral functions could be caused by liquefied petroleum gas.
