Epidemiological Changes of Hemorrhage Fever with Renal Syndrome in Shandong Province,1990~1998

  • Objective Epidemiological changes of hemorrhage fever with renal syndrome(HFRS)in Shandong province were conducted.Methods Incidence and mortality of HFRS among different seasons,age groups,sex,occupations from 1990 to 1998 were compared respectively.Results The endemic areas expanded and HFRS incidence increased in Shandong province from 1990 to 1998,HFRS mortality decreased eider.The incidence of HFRS in spring was higher than that in winter,mortality of HFRS in winter was higher than in spring,and HFRS death of every year was affected and caused by HFRS cases in winter.Population of 25~49 years old,men and farmers were main resource of HFRS cases and deaths,but HFRS risk of others population would increased.Conclusion The epidemic changes of HFRS have been from Hantaan virus infection to both Hantaan virus infection and Seoul virus infection in Shandong province,so we should prevent and control both Hantaan virus infection asnd Seoul virus infection.
