Study on Relationship Between Cadmium and β2-M, NAG of the Indicators of Renal Dysfunction in Urine

  • Objective To explore the relationship between cadmium in urine(Cd-U)and the renal dysfunction indicators of urine N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminidase(NAG)and Beta(2) -micro globulin(β2-M).Methods From 1995 to 1997,the urine examples were colleted from 176 women aged 25 to 55 of years,among them 93 women resided in Cd-polluted area and 83 women in non-polluted area.The Cd-U,NAG and β2-M in the urine examples were analyzed and were statistically treated for variance,multiple linear regression as well as Logistic regression with SPSS for Windows software(10.0 edition).The judgment basis used for abnormal indicators is derived from discriminant standard for health hazard area caused by environmental cadmium pollution(GB/T17221-1998).Results The standard partial regression coefficient(B)and odds ratio(OR)of age affects on B2Mare 0.250(P<0.01)and 1.79,respectively.The standard partial regression coefficient(B)of Cd-U affects on β2-M and NAG are 0.188(P=0.01)and 0.182(P<0.01),repectively.The OR are 1.99 and 1.69,respectively.Conclusion The age of the subject affects positively only on the content and the abnormal rate of β2-M.The Cd-U affects on both β2-M and NAG positively.
