Study on Rural Social Nutrition Assessment and Food Structure Optimization

  • Objective To assess the social nutrition condition of Sanqiao Township of Deqing County,Zhejiang Province.Method The local dietary investigation and general nutrition assessment method were employed.Results The residents of the township as a whole took in sufficient energy,vitamin A,vitamin B1 and vitamin P P,while the residents.intake of protein,calcium,iron,vitamin C and vitamin B2 were under the standards recommended by China N utrition Society.In view of the present nutrition problems in the township,a single objective linear programming method was employed to optimize the nutrition-secure food structure model,taking the local existing food varieties and the recommended nutrition standards as constraints.Conclusion The optimized food structure model complies with the guideline of state food structure adjustment,and the nutritional validation approved that the optimized food structure model can provide suffcient major nutrition requirements.This optimized food structure also provides reference for the adjustment of local food production structure.
