Study on Relationship Between Anemia and Total Body Fat, Fat Pattern in Children

Objective To study the relationship between anemia and total body fat,fat pattern in children.Methods Five hundred and forty-three children aged 7~10 years were investigated and weight、height、waist and hip、skinfolds and hemato globin were measured.Results Among different obeselevel groups,no significant difference was found for prevalence of anemia and mean hematoglobin.Obese group's MBI、F%、LBM、 TPR、SUM were significantly higher than non-obese group,but no significant difference was found for mean hematoglobin between these two groups.In the non-obese group,central fat distribution group's F% and TPR is significantly higher than noncentral fat distribution group's(P<0.01),but no significant difference was found for mean hematoglobin.
