Inhibition of VitE on Mammary Tumor Induced by 7, 12 Dimethlben (a) Anthracene (DMBA) in Rats

Objective To study the effects of VitE on mammary tumor induced by 7,122 dimethylben(a)anthracene(DMBA)in rat.Method Female of 50 days old Sprague-Dawley rats (weighed around 176g)were randomly divided into 4 groups:negative control group,positive control group,low dose group and high dose group.Except rats in the negative control group,each rat was given DMBA 15mg dissolved in 115ml plant oil by intragastrition.At the same time,the rats in low and high dose group were given VitE,rats in negative and positive control group were given basic forage for 24 weeks.Results The tumor rates in four groups were 75.0%、52.4%、34.8%,respectively.The differences among the three groups were significent.Conclusion VitE had chemical preventive effect on mammary tumor.
