Study on the Genotoxicity of Culture Extracts of Indoor Airborne Fungal

  • Objective To study the genotoxicity of fungal culture extracts.Mothods The tests include the Ames test to detect gene mutation, unscheduled DNA synthesis(UDS)assay to detect DNA damage and in vitro cellular micronucleus assay to detect chromosome damage. Results Ames test showed some fungal extracts are indirect mutagenesis,UDA assay revealed DNA damage effects of some fungal extracts, and in vitro micronucleus assay showed they could also cause chromosome damage. Conclusion The result suggested that some fungal culture extracts should have genotoxicity and potential carcinogenicity.
