Study on Detecting Method of Bacteriostatic Effect of Antibacterial Materials

Objective A test of bacteriostatic effect and study of detecting method were conducted on the 12 kinds of antibacterial materials.Method Two kinds of microbe,Staphylococcus aureus and E.coli were taken as target bacteria.Results The bacteriostatic rates on both of the two bacteria were 99% in 7 types of the antibacterial products and over 80% in the ot hers.Meanwhile,the effect of form and external area of these products and reacting time on the bacteriostatic rate was also observed.Conclusion A rapid,simple and accurate experimental program is proposed in the detection of bateriostatic effect,which suits to detect those antibacterial materials dissolved nearly.
