Experimental Study on DNA Damages Induced by Cooking Oil Fume Condensates

  • Objective To study the effects of DNA damages in the human peripheral blood lymphocytes induced by cooking oil fume condenates(COFC).Methods The human per ipheral blood lymphocy tes were incubated in 37℃ for 60 minutes with different concentr ation of cooking oil fume condensates. The for mation of DNA single-strand breaks(SSB),DNA double-strand breaks(SSB)and DNA-protein cosslinks(DPC)of the cells in various groups were detected with the method of single cell gel-electr ophoresis(SCGE).Results Various concentration of COFC within the dose range of the experiment all could induce DNA strand breaks of human peripheral blood lymphocytes. At the concentration of 100μg/ml,200μg/ml and 400 μg/ml,COFC could result in DNA-protein crosslinks of human peripheral blood lymphocy tes,and it was obvious that doseresponse relationship between DNA damages and COFC.Conclusion COFC could induce DNA damages of human peripheral blood lymphocytes, and it may be potential carinog enicrisk to human.
