Experimental Studies on Safety of Virus-insect Pesticides

  • Objective To study the safety of virus-insect pesticides,the safety tests of the 8 virus-insect pesticides were carried out.Methods They were HaN PV,Ao Gv,AcMN PV,Pr GDFV,DtCPV,ssDNA and 2 genetic engineering of HaNPV.Results They had no toxicities,pathogenic,reproduction toxicities,mutagenicities and anaphylactic reation.They are safer than chemistry pesticides.The reason was that these virus only attacked their host and insection was characteristic.Conclusion Because it is impossible to be forcasted on the heredity and mutation,large quanties of virus releasing and the expression of engineering virus.It must make further studies and their forward harm must be attentively watched.
