Studies on Protective Immune Mechanism of Recombinant 31/32kDa Schistosoma Japonicum Antigen

  • ObjectiveTo study the effect of antibody in the protective immune mechanism of recombinant 31/32kDa schistosoma japonicum antigen(rSj31/32).MethodsRabbits were vaccinated multiply with rSj31/32,of which the level of IgGantibody in serum was observed dynamically. At the same time, sera with rSj31/32 vaccinated rabbits(rSj31/32-VRS) and IRS transfered passively to mice at different time to detect the protecting resistant.ResultsThe passive transfer of rSj31/32-VRS before challenge could induce 32.6% worm reduction rate and 65.0% egg reduction rate, higher than that after challenge(18.5%).The rSj31/32-VRS level of IgG rose at week 3,reached the peak at week 4 and then g radually dropped off.ConclusionAntibo dy might play an important role in the protective immunity elicited by rSj31/32.
