Experimental Study on Activity of Plasmodium Antigen to Induce Splenocytes of Mice to Produce NO

  • ObjectiveTo clarify the activity of plasmodium antigen to induce spleno cytes of mice to produce NO.MethodsWith Griess reaction,the effects of P.yoelii antigen treated with different factors on NO secretion from supernatants of cultured splenocytes were observed.ResultsThe ability of P.yoelii antigen to induce NO synthesis by splenocytes is the same as that of P.yoelii ant igen treated by heating as well as by phospholipase C.phospholipase D.trypsin.ConclusionThe P.yoelii antigen is a heat-resisting antigen,being or igin responsible for NO production in splenocytes,not containing lysine and ar ginine;GPI regarded as a major antigen of Plasmodium to induce splenocytes of mice to produce NO needs further study.
